175 goals and over 130 assists by Woody between 1964 and 1978

Baxter 40 goal contributions... really?

He's up amongst our leading scorers over the past 25 years. For some reason, we never seem to hold on to good goalscorers.

Here's a list of players to score 25 or more since 2000:

25 - Gareth Taylor
26 - Danny Webber
28 - Jose Baxter, Andy Gray
29 - Oli McBurnie, Peter Ndlovu
30 - Richard Cresswell, David McGoldrick
32 - Leon Clarke
33 - Michael Brown
34 - James Beattie
48 - Ched Evans
129 - Billy Sharp

To say he was only with us for a year and a half, James Beattie made a real impact.

Taylor who left us in 1998?

One of our biggest issues this season has been the lack of anyone half decent to bring on when Hamer isn't at the races. Thought he had a poor game today but nothing on the bench to switch things up.

Games like today are why he isn't in the prem, too inconsistent. Undeniably talented, but doesn't "run things / boss the game".

The difference in our bench options compared to there's last night was stark. We only really had Riedewald and Campbell/Cannon as options - neither striker who I consider capably of changing a game. Agree Hamer needed to come off, Brooks probably 10 mins before he did too and we had no similar option to change up Bamford - really was a lesson on how not to do recruitment last summer.

Am I the only one who is sick and tired of him constantly giving the ball away and free kicks that go straight to a defender?
Yesterday he was mainly rubbish with the odd spark, the cross for Bamford, the couple of close shots off target. But his corners were awful, his passing generally was too.

Last season there was a rumour we were offered Piroe for him plus cash, with the squad as it is now I’d take that offer.

Have a look at the through ball he played for Burrows goal, plus the 7 other assists he's got in the last few games...and tell me which other player in our team is capable of any of them. I agree he was largely crap last night but signing someone like Piroe would be pointless without someone like Hamer feeding him
