Yet we refused to put him in the first team until he signed his initial contract extension. It wasn’t a one way street and we seemed intent on messing him about initially, then it bit us on the arse when he left but was conveniently ignored.the club gave him a career and the fans adored him and when push came to shove he shafted us.
