If Leicester were interested in being competitive last night they'd have started him (and Ayew)
They undoubtedly improved at that point. Which makes me wonder why the Leicester fans sang “you don’t know what you’re doing” when they came on.

its a pity about his salary i rate him highly and im sure wilder would have him back here if it was finacially viable and were going to get injuries no doubt about that he could be very handy i definetly rate him and would have him back if at all possible

Love to get Hamza back, maybe when CW had a word in his ear it was to tell him to get his boot bag and get up the M1.

I genuinely think he is good enough for the next level as well.

Loan to buy?

He’s on £70k a week.

Gets minutes for Leicester because Ricardo can’t play every game so he’s been use in midfield or at right back for them this season so they wouldn’t let him go anywhere unless the deal was favourable. So they’d want the bulk of that £70k a week covering.

We are reportedly paying Hamer 35/40k a week who was the championship player of the season last year.

Hamza was decent for us and seemed to fit in nicely but there’s no way he’s worth almost double what Hamer is when he’s not a guaranteed starter and doesn’t necessarily immediately improve our best 11.

IF we were going to spend big on loans it’s got to be on players who undoubtedly improve the 11, not just the squad. They’d need to have similar impact to what Solomon had for Leeds last year to justify Hamzas salary.

He signed a new contract when Leicester were last in the championship I've just read under Maresca so I doubt it's £70,000 a week but still estimated to be around £50,000 a week which is still major. But he covers two positions of course so could save money on not needing to bring in two separate players for two positions?

Exactly Ben, massive wages and doesn't start unless injuries or suspension. We need to sign proper right back cover on reasonable wages and when Peck is back we have a lot of players competing for 2 central midfield spots, especially now that Soumare is looking like a player. Assuming Blaster continues to progress we have Jairo, Peck, Soumare and Blaster with Davies also close to being back. I know the latter is injury prone but we cant justify another CM on massive wages unless they are nailed on starters.

70 k or 50 k for someone who isn’t an automatic starter / first name on the team sheet kind of player is absolutely insane imo.

He’d be our highest earner and spending potentially spending more time sat on the bench than playing.

Surely there’s a young premier league right back / midfielder available combined for less than him

I very much doubt that. As a number of posters have said, every one of our CM options looks better next to Jairo.
i dont think theres much between them personally but what a defensive pair they would be in tough away games i still think we may bring him in think it all depends how much of his 50k a week salary leicester would accept

Very noticeable after final whistle Wilder went over to him, put his arm around and the two walked together whilst Wilder was talking to him. Was he propositioning him for a jtw move?

Agree with all that, only way I’d get him back is if Leicester were willing to cover the majority of his wages. But why would Leicester agree to that?

Jairo is some player. Watched just him at times and he is the difference.

Liked Hamza (more at right back) but would no way displace Jairo in midfield in my opinion.
Jairo is g
We've just sent back one overpaid loanee who can fill in at RB but isn't a natural full back, why bother getting another one in? Surely there's a better option for the rumoured wages.
Because our only holding midfielder cannot run after 60 minutes.

Thought it was knilly he walked off pitch with, arm round him

I didn't see him walk off pitch. The conversation was on the pitch as Wilder went upto Hamza. The fact he walked off with AK perhaps reinforces my suggestion that they were sounding him out.

If the Leicester manager had a brain he’d be playing left back instead of Luke Thomas. Anyone has to be an improvement on Thomas.

Genuinely don't know why people are desperate for him to come back, is he better than Seriki? No. Is he a lot better than what we've already got for the middle? Not really. His fee and wages won't justify it at all. There's better options.

Can he cover multiple positions....yes
Can he give us much needed experience...yes
Can he fit straight into our set up....yes

Im amazed riedewald has played as many minutes as he has
If you read the thread when we signed him there was outrage over his fitness and availability

I bet this is the most he's played in his career
Seriki is also playing a lot of minutes and touch wood has not had any contact injury's considering the rough treatment he gets and the fact he spent a lot of last seaon nursing various injury's

He's literally the perfect option and your reasons for NOT signing him, are, ironically, why.

Yeah I agree he fits all that.

But so you really reckon paying 5-7mil and probably around 30k+ a week for someone to be a Ben Osborn when we need him, is a good idea? Much rather try and put that money towards Souttar than him.
