Because the EFL don't sell all the games on the Monday but do on boxing day and new year's

Because Monday is a normal working day. All games are either 7:45 or 8pm

It looks as though it's on tv in some foreign places and you would need a vpn thingy to hide the fact you're in the uk. I don't have vpn so i never watch if it's not on Sky.
Strangely my brother often sees our games in Australia - always amuses me.

In most other countries/sports the entire schedule is now streamed via dedicated league subscription passes to an app. This happens even in the UK in some other sports.

The reason it hasn't happened yet in the UK is that Sky (etc) are squeezing every penny they can out of their dwindling subscriber base.

Without football, Sky is done and dusted. They have practically zero other content now Dinsey/Paramount/HBO/Netflix etc exist.

At some point in the future, Sky collapses and you get every game played for £X per month (X being substantially less than a Sky subscription).

Paradoxically, by continuing to subscribe to Sky, you're delaying that from occurring.

Yes. Sky do seem to be screwing us. I watch via Nowtv and I'm sure it used to be about £10 per month - it's somehow crept up to about £35. Think other stuffs available but I'm not all that interested in looking into it - possibly I'm being a bit stupid

This idea that the EFL are leaving money on the table and remember that's the clubs themselves and not going for the biggest financial deal possible makes little business sense.

Just look itv Digital fiasco for how much clubs need TV money in some form. If it went to a more direct way I can bet you as viewers it wouldn't work out a better deal

That makes no sense unless we assume that Sky are making a loss on football coverage and subsidise it being broadcast (which obviously isn't the case).

How many people are only subscribing for EFL and not as part of a wider package. Darts is on right now. I wouldn't watch it if it was a separate pay wall just like I don't bother with the boxing that's moved to dazn. Just because the clubs sell directly doesn't necessarily mean it's more money.

Sky has got worse since they were bought out by Comcast (you guessed it) an American company. I ditched BT after 20 something years (it didnt end well) and decided to go back to Sky (due to a good deal and cheaper than BT) for 2 years just to see where they are at since I last had their service and I am not impressed. The puck is abysmal, the guide/gui is shocking, the fibre broadband went down 2 months into the contract for 24hrs (never had more than an hour outtage with BT) didnt realise that the internet security was set blocking some of the websites eg Nord VPN and a few of the PC gaming websites I went on (and I`m not talking about dodgy ones before you say so

) until I turned it off. The Ultra HD sports stream stutters on F1 and Football channels (loads of people complain on their forum about it). So I will be looking for alternatives again when the contract is up.

Monday is technically Saturday when it comes to TV rights, so while Boxing Day had all games available, Monday night doesn't, Sky just have the normal number of games that they'd have over a weekend.

Same deal next week, everything is live on New Year's Day but on the Sunday all games aren't automatically on TV as it's a Saturday as far as the TV rights go, our game is one of the six lunchtime games that gets picked for Sky Sports+, but the 3pm games aren't televised.

Birmingham v Southampton is 8:15, that game plus Cov Ipswich are on Sky, aren't we on the red button on Sky? Not available on SUTV, which suggests it's beinng covered in the UK.

I was wondering about that, and will probably have a look at the time to see if it does appear. Think Ginger Gnome 's post above explains why it might not be though.
