Yes Blade that is what I was saying in my email to SUTV it must increase the use of illgal streaming but I suppose in the long run it comes down to money and not the supporters

It comes down to clubs wanting people to go to games, every time they redo the TV deal they do increase the number of games available but every time people still want more.

Some clubs were resistant to the previous deal where clubs could stream their own games if they weren't on TV and not Saturday 3pm as they didn't make much from it, while other clubs did, so they came up with the current Sky Sports+ thing where all clubs get a guaranteed amount rather than clubs with more fans selling more streams.

Problem is situations like yesterday where the TV deal doesn't cover the games as it's not a designated midweek but it's not actually a Saturday afternoon where people can attend easily either. There's nothing Sky can do to show them all and nothing clubs can do either, until it gets to the next TV rights deal where they either get rid of the Saturday blackout so all games can be shown, or at least make allowances for situations like Christmas where calling Monday a Saturday doesn't make sense.

Thankyou Mr Ginger Gnome so much more pleasant to read when its put in a nice considered way
The only thing I will say is that at nearly 80 years old I used to go to all matches home and away but then I had a second stroke which makes difficult and very tiring to go to away matches that is why I thought it would be a good idea to get together to try and change the rules so those supporters who cannot attend could watch their team play

They believe that the revenue from broadcast deals in this country is currently undervalued and want to take advantage at some point.

They see what Real Madrid and Barca do in Spain with how they generate broadcast income and want a piece of that pie, so to speak.

Well yes, but they could do with looking at how successful the NFL is with it's rights deals - and that is split equitably.

Although you probably aren't wrong which is the worst part of that statement, if they did that it would they would have to look at what the offering is. I can still see the "European Super League" having momentum in that time period and say if 6 sides from England were moved into that and didn't play domestically the shift up the leagues would even the Premier League out however it would be a lot weaker.

That could be the point that the Premier League down to League 2 (4 leagues) becomes the professional divisions. You have the feeder clubs/ semi pros under that and you would either pool the teams together similar to how the League cup 1st round draw works for fixtures across the divisions and have a playoff style winners across pools like the NFL or similar or you keep the divisions but still keep promotion/relegation just that you can't go that far down, i.e. League 2 is the dropping point. Bring in strict FFP, scrap the League cup and EFL trophy but keep the FA Cup in it's traditional format. Put the prize pots of the EFL trophy & League into the FA Cup.
