If Chong finishes that chance just before half time we're in a really strong position but his control let him down. He needs to do better. I think right wing is a key position to upgrade on in January.

Because he can’t kick with both feet. It was an easy opportunity to create an angle where the keeper would have had no chance.

absolutely spot on all 4 league 1 players at best but none were wilders signings im sure if he could he would ditch all 4 we need at least 4 good championship signings in january choudray and osula being mentioned and those 2 would do for a kick off new keeper and a hamer reolacement for the other 2

He was the saviour after we beat Birmingham and we were going to the play offs.

One thing I’ll say about Wilder (who I was happy to leave in the summer) is that we’d be in a better position if he’d been allowed to rebuild the squad in the summer. We wouldn’t have ended up with the shit that we have.

This isn’t his squad we signed 11 players in the summer, I’d say 7-8 of them he wouldn’t have signed

Regards Soumare….he looks elegant, casual and a bit slow.
He could be a decent player but he’s struggling to adapt to English football, with its speed and physicality.
So at the moment I’d leaning towards a “no, send him back”

Regards Chong….think he’s a decent average Championship standard player….with some ability.
Not sure he’s suited out on the wing but dont mind him….or maybe it’s his big Afro (that I like) that’s clouding my opinion.
So at the moment, the jury is still out but need to find a better role for him.

Our spending over the Summer has been very strange.

On paper they weren’t bad players….lots of young players with good potential to improve.
My issue is that it’s as though they’ve been signed as investments without thinking about their personalities…are they leaders/ winners?

Also no one has thought about how they fit in the team and how they’ll be used.
It reminds me of the foreign “1st team coach” system that Selles knows well and accepts .
Abroad…..the owners buy a collection of good players…..then hand them to the coach expecting him to gel those players into a team.

Where as in the UK…..Wilder will devise a tactical plan over the Summer to attack the forthcoming season.
So the manager will have a massive input in what players are brought in.
Basically players are brought in with a specific job in mind so they can improve the team.
Also Wilder knows the importance of team spirit, camaraderie and being a top pro which can positively influence the younger players.

I do think we have a good squad….but it’s so disjointed…bloated in places and underdeveloped in other areas….with a lack of common sense planning.

the jury isnt out for me its very much a unanimous verdict soumare and chong are at best bottom end championship / league 1 players and you can add mcguinness and ogbene to those 2 these 4 need to be moved on somehow we wont get anywhere top 6 in this league if we carry on these.4
