Bizarre situation that I wonder if we will ever find out what happened.

Shame he didn't get the same second chance that the other players have under Wilder, would have be interested to see how he got on.

If its correct (and not just sharing a random instagram photo), least we have one loan space to think about for Jan!

He will make the list of players with the worst win % for Sheffield United. With a grand total of 4 appearances and 4 defeats, 8 goals conceded and 0 scored.

Wonder if anyone has a worse record?

Not necessarily a dig at Godfrey btw (although he was very bad against Ipswich in particular) just wondering purely on a statistical level if anyone has played in more games with a 0% record?

They was all woefully bad in those games mind you, but hos performances do stick out particularly bad, as you mentioned ipswich was one of the worst ive seen from a united player.

If it’s true it’s absolutely ridiculous if you can’t terminate a contract for that, we have regular drugs and alcohol tests at work and if your positive it’s an instant dismissal no arguments.
Without getting into these claims.

I think its more likely that he couldn't keep awake when watching the videos back of our games under Selles

I have no clue if the rumours are true and given their seriousness it's best not to speculatr, but this chat followed him from his time at Ipswich..

The loan has probably cost us a couple of million quid.

Even ignoring external factors - in a football sense, nobody knew what position he was supposed to play. It appeared right back, and he absolutely couldn't play it.

The incompetence of our decision makers over the Summer was quite incredible.

We won't know what is going on.

We seem have to developed a good reputation for doing well with Loan players and them leaving with a really positive view of the club (thinking Henderson "helping" get JRS last season).

It might have been that we agreed to a change in the terms of the deal and he stayed here as its close to his family etc. Hence why he has played for U21s but nothing apart from that.

Anyway, GLTTL

I'm not commenting on the claim, but I think you'll find pill addiction in professional sports is rather rife.
Commonly caused by clubs putting pressure on players to play on, at their top possible level, through whatever challenges they've got going on.
I very much doubt you'd lose your job for testing positive for sleeping tablets, anti-depressants or pain killers unless you have a specific job where it would be dangerous and therefore explicitly not allowed.

Not true at all about the sleeping pills
The addiction is true but something else
The way he played at Ipswich that night anyone could be forgiven for thinking he'd bet on us to get hammered.

(This is not serious I know nothing about him or the reasons he's not played).

I think you’re being far too harsh.

The fact we got rid of Robinson made it a good window! 🤣

An Ipswich supporting mate commented to me that he was known for liking a drink while he was with them.
