Trying to be unique leads to garbage like that Milan shirt above. Its overcomplicated. As for pinstripes, what's the point of detail on a football kit that isn't visible from the stands?
Red pinstripes on white would just look like white shirts and vice versa.
You can't read the club badge from the stands, and would be hard pressed to read the sponsor's name also. It's also hard to pick out the players' names on the back of their shirts from the stands too, and yet all three are present on the shirt.
In this day and age I am led to believe that young people like to wear football shirts even when they are not actually playing football, and thus the detailing on each garment helps the purchasing individual to identify with a team through that.
In Ye Olden Days before the Premier League and possibly before most people had colour tellies the kits were simple - no logos, no fancy designs, and no changing them each season. If you want one nowadays then look on Toffs. Some are really nice.
I went to a game of soccer recently and much to my delight not only was it in colour, but it was High Definition too.
Some rascal once asked on here for the best way to watch a game at the Lane by which he was meaning live illegal streaming. He was advised to actually buy a ticket and go to the match, where it would be available in the widest of widescreen, 3D technicolour, full surround sound High Definition available.
With of course the added bonus of if he sat near me he would be able to see a mad bloke in a Hawkwind beanie timing the game on his iPod and remonstrating with the officials, just a few rows in front and across the stairs a bit.
I might have made that last bit up....
i said at the beginning .. i'm an adidas monkey.. now people want financial statements posting in.. whatever happened to banter eh?On what criteria?

If this pinstripe bollocks is true, then I want the home kit like this!!
As for the away one, LETS GO RETRO!!!
I'll bet it was in 3D as well!I went to a real football match once and not only was I surprised to see it was in colour, it was in High Definition too.
As for shirts

This is what I'm talking about, if we get some stuff like this I'll be getting the wallet out
Well, I was gonna say blades equivalent but I thought that was obvious. white with black/red trim and a blades badge on.What a blue and white tracky ?![]()
I'll tell you what we could do a lot worse than have the latest England T20 shirt installed as our away shirt in white, black or yellow..
Suppose it could be red if were having the white pinstripe home.. I may invest...

new adidas chelsea away lit. Not keen on the colour but the template looks nice. Big fan of the collar
If we have to do retro pinstripes then let's make them as thick as they can go.View attachment 8507
