What's all this 'uniqueness' nonsense anyway?

I'm quite happy if SUFC have exactly the same shirts as Sunderland or Southampton.

Trying to be unique leads to garbage like that Milan shirt above. Its overcomplicated. As for pinstripes, what's the point of detail on a football kit that isn't visible from the stands?

Red pinstripes on white would just look like white shirts and vice versa.

Man U's kit from the year before last looked like a gingham table cloth this and the Milan dressing gown is different for the sake of difference and what the 'eck is the point of that?

You can't read the club badge from the stands, and would be hard pressed to read the sponsor's name also. It's also hard to pick out the players' names on the back of their shirts from the stands too, and yet all three are present on the shirt.

In this day and age I am led to believe that young people like to wear football shirts even when they are not actually playing football, and thus the detailing on each garment helps the purchasing individual to identify with a team through that.

In Ye Olden Days before the Premier League and possibly before most people had colour tellies the kits were simple - no logos, no fancy designs, and no changing them each season. If you want one nowadays then look on Toffs. Some are really nice.

I went to a real football match once and not only was I surprised to see it was in colour, it was in High Definition too.

Some rascal once asked on here for the best way to watch a game at the Lane by which he was meaning live illegal streaming. He was advised to actually buy a ticket and go to the match, where it would be available in the widest of widescreen, 3D technicolour, full surround sound High Definition available.

With of course the added bonus of if he sat near me he would be able to see a mad bloke in a Hawkwind beanie timing the game on his iPod and remonstrating with the officials, just a few rows in front and across the stairs a bit.:D

I might have made that last bit up....

Yes, it's way too outrageous to believe that somebody else dresses and behaves like me at United matches!

I'll tell you what we could do a lot worse than have the latest England T20 shirt installed as our away shirt in white, black or yellow..

Suppose it could be red if were having the white pinstripe home.. I may invest...

Is that the really fluorescent one? A bloke got on the tube last night wearing such a luminous number coupled with bright yellow trousers...

With so many retro kits to choose from it looks like Arsenal could not make their minds up re next season's kit so they decided to include all of them in one go

Right, amateur kit designers. Let's have a Blades equivalent then.......
