Brooks rolled an ankle in training last week and damaged ligaments, not expected to be long

He tore his cartilage ,clean out and 6 weeks
I had a meniscus tear similar to this I think last year…… I was 3 months before I was back playing 5 a side again……although I was only getting physio every 2 weeks with exercises to do……. So 6 weeks with intense treatment sounds about right. Hope he recovers well ….. I’ve not had any issues since.

On Blaster he went on to say he should be back training with the first team in 2 weeks time - but probably not ready for first team action until approx 2 weeks after next international break - so that’s roughly end of November.

People said a few weeks back Blaster would be back in November.

If the Hamer news is true then this squad needs to be well coached into a tactical gameplan, based around possession football...and not relying on a star player to have a moment of brilliance. Which, ironically, is where Wilder and Knill started. System over personnel.
I don't like it when we rely too much on the Star player. It was the same when we had Sabella and when Man City had Kinkladze

Last season Hamer was responsible for creating and scoring the bulk of our goals.
If we have lost him we are well and truely in the SHIT, especially with Davies and OA out as we have no one capable of creating.

Brooks or soumare in midfield may be worth a shot but no one other than the guy signed this week ( who will take months to get up to speed ) has the experience and ability to do the job we need

I agree, last season we had more balance in the team and Hamer was brilliant, but this season, Hamer often gets the ball deeper than last season as we keep giving the ball to him. I prefer him higher up.

No team at this level wants to be without a player like Hamer, but to be honest, that's the most cohesive we have looked as a team for a while.

It's just a shame that Davies and Chong are both out as well, as it leaves us very short in the AM position. A lot will rest on O'Hare's shoulders over the coming weeks.
