I’ve been in there a few times…..there’s a thin pillar obstructing a small area of the pitch
But if you move your head 6 inches to the left or 6 inches to the right then it’s problem solved.
If you don’t mind occasionally moving your head, you see all the action and it’s a really good view, high up and quite close to the pitch with a steepish rake/ angle.
Back when we were younger.Hanx
Knowing our luck, Tyrese Campbell will score the winner and we will still lose…the roar of the blades crowd a full house will see a great lane return for kop legend tufty because he grinds win out ................blades 2 charlton 0 ..gustavo hamer and tyrese campbell score job done..utb....forza messiah king god tufty ,,chow..utb..
Paper tickets and no opportunity to collect. Often same for our away games.Charlton don't have tickets on sale on their website either, for whatever reason.
They only serve scraps nowThat chippy has seen some batterings over the years
Your just trying to curry flavour now on s24suThey only serve scraps now
They've done that before. Chez in 2017 was the last time.Give us some away end seats![]()
I remember Alan Robert’s absolutely ripping them to bits on the wingWho can forget United v Newcastle in the League Cup 3rd round when we played em under Bassett in 1989
Was rammed that night in the Kop, and "busy' all over the ground. Official attendance 17,900.... they announced it over the tannoy and everyone just laughed. It must have been nearer 30k if not more. It was blatant fiddling by the club (remember it was still standing on the kop in those days and that had a large capacity by itself).
Third division SUFC beat first division Newcastle (with Brazilian Mirandinha and a couple of other stars) 3-0. So no one was bothered about the attendance. Someone made some money that night though.
That was the biggest crowd fiddle I've ever seen. You have to wonder just how much money was trousered back then.Who can forget United v Newcastle in the League Cup 3rd round when we played em under Bassett in 1989

Ruts DC are as different to the Ruts as New Order were to Joy Division. Ruts DC reinvented themselves brilliantly post Malcolm and took themselves down different avenues. Their new material is well worth listening to. I regard them as a current band rather than something from the nostalgia circuit. If you get the chance go and see them, you might be pleasantly surprised.Babylon stopped burning when Malcolm Owen died.
The 'new' band may well be decent, but they can't be the Ruts without him.
I seem to remember that the ko was delayed due to congestion? We were stood in our then normal spot under the white wall ( aka ‘wailing wall’) on the Kop and crammed in like sardines. That was the biggest crowd fiddle I've ever seen. You have to wonder just how much money was trousered back then.
100%. I went on the Kop in those days and I'd never seen it so crammed. That was the biggest crowd fiddle I've ever seen. You have to wonder just how much money was trousered back then.
This anston man predicting a 2.0 winAnyway, a lot of positivity around today, even Anston is predicting a draw (no goals obviously).
I think most people, irrespective if they're happy with CW coming back or not, wil be looking forward to today much more.
This South Anston man has gone for a 3-0 win, this was BEFORE I went to the pub(s)This anston man predicting a 2.0 win
I remember a pre season friendly not that long ago when DCL scored a cracking goal and it kicked off all over the place both before and after the game. You've not encountered Grimsby fans before have you
Remember going there when we played in 94 after relegation. Kicked off everywhere. Me and a mate walked up a residential road back towards his car and decided to call in this chippy just as we heard a big shout down the road.
He was adamant he was hungry whilst I quickly worked out we were outnumbered at least 5 to 1.
A quick perusal of the counter made me realise wooden chip forks and a plastic vinegar bottle weren't going to be much use fending them off, so we were on our toes.
Yeah know someone who got banned as a result and in his circumstances it was harsh. Only defending himself.I remember a pre season friendly not that long ago when DCL scored a cracking goal and it kicked off all over the place both before and after the game.
A pre season friendly FFS
Any advance on 3-0 from Anston Blades? This South Anston man has gone for a 3-0 win, this was BEFORE I went to the pub(s)
See how many are left when its 36 and 41 quid v Watford and Wilders been here for a few games. Very very rare we sell out and didnt even v Burnley on Boxing Day last year. I dont have a season ticket and have never not been able to get a ticket for a home game in 30 years. A bigger ground is low down on our list of priorities at present.Bout 100-150 in the whole ground available.
Wanted to bring someone and it’s only letting me purchase 1 ticket per purchasing history ffs.
Hope people remember shit like this when they complain that we don’t need to expand the stadium. How the f(_)ck are we meant to grow the fanbase when we can’t even bring people to their first match.
It’s absolutely stupid
Any advance on 3-0 from Anston Blades?![]()
Come to the trooper or the Leeds and buy me a pint and I'll let you knowI'll go with 4-0 to United.
I've drunk in the Leeds Arms, Loyal Trooper, and the Cutler in Anston (South and North) in my time, so does that allow me to vote on this one, or do I have to actually reside there?
This is Wilder's walk on tune here. Imagine it ...
