Near Sell Out on Saturday

How many STs are there at Arsenal just now ?

They’ve restricted it down to 40,000 in a 60,704 capacity stadium.
The reason they don’t sell more season tickets is it gives more pay on the day fans to attend the odd match every now and again.
So most of the 90K on the season ticket waiting list will probably attend the odd match each season.

They are looking at increasing their stadium capacity to 80,000 but there’s not enough space as it’s hemmed in.
However they are hoping to use the latest technology in building upwards by removing the roof and building an extra upper tier.
The issue will now be the infrastructure, transport systems around the ground….so will probably need to expand the train station at a massive cost.

Why not just put all available seats on sale? People will be buying singles and sitting apart from their mates thinking no more are available, then all of a sudden another block opens. Is it a commercial decision? Whatever it is, it pisses people off.
Staff and players returning tickets they don’t want.

Community foundation returning tickets they couldn’t give away.

Bout 100-150 in the whole ground available.
Wanted to bring someone and it’s only letting me purchase 1 ticket per purchasing history ffs.

Hope people remember shit like this when they complain that we don’t need to expand the stadium. How the f(_)ck are we meant to grow the fanbase when we can’t even bring people to their first match.

It’s absolutely stupid
Bang on. So short sighted by those who think our current capacity is big enough.

Email the club its the only way we get change!

It just shows the importance of having an airport close by.

We must be 1 of the biggest cities in Europe that doesn’t have an airport within 45 minutes.

I’ve said this before but I think the council are missing out on football tourism. We could offer match tickets including a tour to see some of football most historical sites, Sheffield FC, Hallam FC, Sandygate, Leppings Lane etc.
There was a proposal to build an airport way back when, Blunkett didnt want it so he built Council Houses on the land. With people like that in positions of power in the City what chance do you have!

Wow , that's fascinating info - I always remember as a teenager in the early 70s they used to get 63k when they were in Europe , but the PL has added at least £20k to that ...
Makes you realise that London is just another world.

A lot of the time people click on a seat which then reserves it for a hour but they don't always buy the ticket which then goes back on sale.

Two of them are dead, and one (now 76) hasn’t been with them since 1990. Old JJ, who’s still plugging away, looks pretty well for his age, tbf.

I know the current lot have their advocates, and fair play to that. But for some who loved the classic line-up, me incl, The Stranglers haven’t really been The Stranglers for decades.
No more heroes anymore

Just read this and thought, thats bollocks so I looked it up.

"The Manchester United season ticket waiting list is very long, with estimates suggesting a wait of around 25 years, as the queue currently exceeds 120,000 fans. The club hasn't opened the waiting list to new applicants since 2011, making it challenging to get a season ticket. Fans on the list must wait for the club to release seats, with the pace depending on how many season tickets are renewed and the potential for new stadium construction"

Not only that, they have to pay to be put on the list, up to 50 quid. American Owners corrupt as fuck.

If you thought my first post bollocks here's some more

Leeds Live has had it confirmed that there are 26,000 people on the waiting list for Leeds United season tickets. Clearly, this is more than the number of expansion seats which will be added, and not all of those will be available for season ticket holders amid hospitality allocations.

The Nottingham Forest season ticket waiting list had over 11,000 people in April 2024,

No it's how they always sell them ,certain blocks need sag approval ,and to make people think it's selling out , marketing nonsense

To be honest, I’m a bit nervous about Saturday. After all the triumphant return of the messiah proclamations…What if we’re still shit and Charlton give us another tonking?

We're bottom of the league with no points and people are already talking about play-off charges. It's all a bit cart before horse.

We sold out of season tickets in our last premier league season. The club never set up a waiting list. They probably missed a trick there as we'd have no doubt sold out again last season if they did. Instead we were slightly down

What absolute nonsense. You do talk some arse.

Every club in the land with decent support does exactly what we do with ticketing, re returned comps and unused hospitality seats.

I don't know if we'll win, in fact I do t expect to. But I do expect us to be compact and a lot better defensively. 0-0 at worst I'd hope for.

Sheffield did have it's own airport, at Tinsley/Orgreave. It closed due to lack of interest/business.

As usual, the club have about 100 restricted-view seats in that corner between the Kop and John Street stand. But people have to pay full price. In my opinion, that's not right. You would have thought they would knock a fiver off at least. A few tickets left in the Tony Currie stand. Corner between T/C stand and Bramall Lane upper sold out.Few in John St Stand.Bramall Lane Upper 27seats left.Kop 8 seats left.Kop safe standing 400 left at lunch time Thursday, so just past midnight now, maybe some left on a first-come, first-served basis. Charlton have sold an estimated 1,500; it looks like around 30,500 may have been sold.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to the ticket office staff. I rushed in at the last minute, having been held up in traffic, thinking they'd probably have locked up, as it was literally 3 minutes to 5, and they were really polite and friendly even though they must have been wanting to get off home, and helped me get the best available seat for the stand I wanted, out of the few seats they'd got left.

Thank you, ticket office staff. 👍👏

Someone had to do it…. just counted up the remaining tickets on the ticket site.

Kop 13
South stand 2
BL upper tier and corner stand 25
John Street stand 8
Kop corner bit 120 (that was just about sold out earlier today but they’ve now released all the restricted view tickets)

So there’s currently 168 tickets left…vast majority in the JS corner.
I’ve calculated that our current maximum home capacity is 28,708.

So we’ve currently sold 28,540 tickets and several Charlton fans on their forum estimate they’ve sold about 1,500 of their 2,408 allocation.

So we’re looking at an attendance of 30.0K…based on current sales.
A few more will be sold Friday….so my guess is the attendance will end up being close to 30.2K

How does that translate into pie sales? Please have the answer on my desk by 0800 hours Saturday at the latest.
