He did a good job with us i thought.
Are there any manager first names we’ve had more often than the three Nigels I can think of? Not counting Wilder’s three incarnations.

Obviously not Adkins. Spackman I'm talking about but failing that. Nigel Pearson is available as is Nigel Worthington

Clough? Adkins? Spackman?

I’d have posted quicker but the bloody autocorrect wanted to change Spackman to Spaceman. 😆

AI reccomending spaceman for our next manager.

Mark the Pitsmoor pillock reads it and applies, Spiceman wanted - I'm qualified for that.

Nigella, then youre talking
Nigella Lawson Cup Size

.

Howard Kendall. He was successful with us

I remember when Kendall took charge.

We’d played fast long/ direct percentage football for years under Bassett.
When Kendall arrived as manager, overnight…….all our players suddenly looked comfortable on the ball and started passing to feet.
It was quite an incredible to see….an instant change in style. It demonstrated how important a manager is.

A big part of our success was Gordon Cowans….a superb passing machine….great 1st touch..so comfortable and calm in possession…pass and move…pass and move. Also remember Don Hutchison, another very cultured high quality player.

It was all looking so good but Kendall was getting too much attention nationally and his beloved Everton asked him to return to them….and obviously he obliged.
Spackman took over his work and continued it for a while playing some nice football.
