When Wilder got us to the Premier League we were fantastic to watch. When he got us close last season we weren’t.
Same guy though. I don't understand why no one seems to see this. Does anyone think he wanted to play like that or maybe he was getting the best he could out of that squad? He built that side in League 1 and even changed the way we played to suit the players he had. He did the same at the start of last season but had to be a bit more pragmatic in the approach.
People can think what they like but one guy had a proven track record v one with no track record.

I hope all those that wanted rid of Wilder are happy now. I said at the time when he was dismissed that people needed to be careful what they wished for. Well this it. A complete shitshow. This manager is clueless.
How was replacing a manager with a proven track record at this level, that had won 90 points the previous season, with a manager with no track record, no promotions, no achievements, ever going to end well? A complete shambles from the moment he was appointed.
Would I take Wilder back in a heartbeat, absolutely, however I'd take anyone at the moment that could just get the team doing the basics right.
Horrific, truly horrific.

Yes. Obviously people are “happy”. Jesus Christ.

TBF bettis needs to shoulder a lot of the responsibility for Selles appointment, ( and yes I was hopeful the lad would succeed) because I wouldn't imagine he had actual face to face time other than over zoom with the owners .I think now is the time for a DOF , there's just to much happening with the club for bettis to have proper control of it all.

What makes you think Bettis appointed him or had the major say?

I don’t if it’s tin hat time or not but for me the better manager was Hecky. He got thrown under the bus after Wilder Mk1 and the “back door gate” he then got us into the playoffs in a competitive championship to be beaten by a high spending Forest and when it really mattered paid the bills by getting us to a FA Cup semi final and got us Auto-promoted to save on a fire sale. The discovery of Ndiaye and even having to enter the Premier League losing him and Berge, he did well to do anything.

Please share your insights into the current direction of the club.

I firmly believe that the squad is good enough to make the playoffs, COH deserve credit for that.

If they can get it right with the manager and it’s a big if, we’ll be fine.

Things don’t look good tonight but I’d be more concerned if the players weren’t good enough.

I don’t think they are good enough. They front 4 tonight are fucking terrible.

So you thought they were likely to appoint a better manager if they sacked Wilder - what made you think that?
Yes - why not? McKenna was unknown and a success. Maresca was unknown and has been a success. It's possible to get an upgrade.

I appreciated the points Wilder got, but was bored off my tits with the style of football. Sneak a goal then lock up shop. Zzzzzzzzz

No one knows why Wilder left in the summer. Perhaps the owners wanted a different direction and he wasn't prepared to adapt? Perhaps they didn't want to sack him.

Parting ways with Wilder wasn't necessarily a bad decision. Appointing Selles was.

After watching that half hearted shit show tonight, I'd settle for boring 1-0 wins at the moment.

Let's hope the next appointment is successful - for all our sakes

What’s baffling is that those 4 aren’t our best players, only Selles would’ve picked that team.

We have other options and players that are definitely better.

I really wanted this to work, but it isn't going to get any better imo.

The odd bit of energetic pressing and fast build up tonight didn't change the fact that we didn't create any real chances and then seemed incapable of defending each and every time we turned over possession.

I feel for the fans who travelled to watch that.

I'm conflicted. I said after Boro it be madness to sack after 4 league games. Unbelievably, now feel it be madness to not sack him. No leadership, no pride, no hope of improvement. I'll therefore sleep on it til I cast my vote, see if my integrity returns 😁
Are you up yet?

I was previously in the not sure category but have now seen enough. He needs to go now as much for his own sake as ours. I have nothing against him as a person but it just hasn't worked. The board should sit down with him today and agree an exit package so he can go in as a dignified way as possible. We can't let this carry on any longer.
