Glttl, ok with the youngsters, but our first team strikers had a poor record when he was coaching them so can't understand why they can't get someone better in tbh

You after make this more specific, Lester was not responsible for signing strikers and not for selling up and coming players. Under Lester buying forwards of good quality was not happening and the remit was improve what we had, of which one was McGoldrick. Last season we played defensively at the start of the season and were successful at it up to Christmas when defensive issues became apparent. I think he wasn’t responsible for the set up of the team and knew that the talent we had could do better if the tactics changed but that wasn’t his role. A judgement of how effective he was is a play off semi defeat, against promotion winners, and a promotion play off final defeat after we had amassed 92 points.
Players brought through the academy when he directed it are Lankshear, Jebbison, Osula, Ndiaye, developed under Jack, plus others including One that is being courted by top clubs and will make a tidy profit. The fees they left for or could have had if the board got its arse in gear with contracts was more than the management team was paid in salaries. If this can be improved on then great we will improve the playing staff and making some cash, it is no surprise that he’s gone to Brentford, a club that develops forwards and sells them on for enormous amounts and no doubt they see that as his remit and he’s gone a club who have established themselves in the premiership and it’s a step up. Who is doing it now? The board have dismantled it for a staff who have little track record. The prince for all his faults knew he was getting good value from Lester because he was not sacked.
