Ogbene has been one of our few bright lights on our international team over the last few years (we may be getting a little bit better now, hopefully), great pace but also a very skillful player too, he doesn't just rely on his pace and is infectiously enthusiastic.

I'm really happy that he's signed, just hope he's fully recovered from that nasty injury.

I remember watching him play for Cork City, that team was also in crisis at the time and Ogbene stood out when he got his chance towards the end of a disastrous season. He ended up leaving and going to Limerick (of all places) and he took off from there!

Sounds like maybe whole team was pretty bad, that Irish defence on paper should be decent with O'Brien, Collins, O'Shea and Kelleher.

Never sure international break form has much bearing anyway, we just saw Arsenal's Gyokeres manage onoy 1 poor shot on target over 180 minutes of playing against Kosovo and Slovenia for instance!

He got injured and seems to have lost some of that pace. I have a mate who is an Ipswich ST holder and he said CO not the same since the injury.

I knew Ipswich would't let this guy go on loan to an expected promotion rival unless he was looking pretty poor.
He's had a major injury last season and is clearly a shadow of his former self now.

I do feel a bit for him. The fact that he’s playing is one of the reasons we’re struggling but I don’t think it’s his fault.

We have to play 3 at the back, but we don’t have a right wing back. So he plays a hybrid role that he’s obviously uncomfortable with.

He’s supposedly most effective in forward positions, but he’s been poor at taking on a man and crossing. Then he’s asked to get back and cover when he loses the ball and the opponent breaks.

The number of goals we concede down our right this season must be high because there’s always acres of space there.

When we’re defending Tanganga is never far enough right to be effective and Ogbene is chasing back from a forward run. It’s poor selection, tactics or recruitment however you look at it.
