If he'd smiled more, people would have liked him. Because he looked mardy he "couldn't be arsed"

Led in (all per 90)
Progressive carries
Carries into thr final 3rd
Carries into the penalty area
Attempted take ons
Successful take ins

2nd for goals, 2nd in Shots created, 3rd in key passes and shots on target,

Won more tackles per 90 than Peck, Hamer, Robinson, Arblaster

More blocks than Souttar, Hamer, O'Hare, Arblaster, Burrows

Team had a +18 gd with him on the pitch for 1,725 minutes and only conceded 8 goals. GD was only +9 in the other 2,415 and we conceded 28 goals. We only lost 3 of the 22 games he started.

I know some people didn't rate him. But United were a much, much better team with him on the pitch and the stuff about him not trying is bizarre.

His defensive stats were excellent.

He had a bit of a languid style / body language, but he put graft in.
I'd have had him back in a heartbeat, a really good player.

Teams were always worried about him, doubled him up almost all the time.

He also spent most of his games playing ahead of Gilchrist who wasn’t really a RB and wasn’t comfortable driving forwards.

Especially in home games where more often than not opponents sat in and tried to counter attack or play for a draw he was always very isolated and as you say doubled up on.

Half of United fans can’t recognise that though and didn’t rate him because he wasn’t able to continually skin two defenders at once and smash one in the top corner.

How many times did we actually play a pass ahead of him, into space and put him in a 1v1 against his fullback? Hardly ever because we’d pissed about with it for 18 passes across the back line first so the opponents were dug in their trenches ready.

JRS & Godfrey would've made a good duo this season.
Surprised anyone would prefer Ogbene, but let's see what he brings.

flattered to deceive flashes of brilliance last season but on the whole dissapointed for me him and brooks much of a muchness and brooks has carried that on this season with some poor performances

Did he flatter to deceive?

He didn't play that many minutes and this was his output ...

This always wound me up. We had a quick, talented set of attacking players, arguably the best front 4 in the championship. But instead of attacking with pace we spent ages passing about at the back and let the other team regroup and reorganise EVERY BLOODY GAME! Which made out job 10x harder. Classic wilder tactics.

We never varied it. It’s fine to try and dominate games but you have to vary things.

Leeds had at least two good options down each flank and just relentlessly went at teams and if they had the opportunity to break at speed they did. That’s why they won the league. Teams were bolloxed and then they could sub on two equally as good wingers and go again for 20 mins with fresh legs.

Plymouth fans talked a lot about Coopers cannon of a long throw and how he had started several counter attacks with his over arm throws. All we ever saw was an underarm roll to a CB (we still haven’t to be fair)

Wilder always talked about creating good quality chances and not just pumping the ball in the box but sometimes the good quality chances are achieved by playing the ball in the box before the opposition are ready for it. It frustrated me in his first spell and continued throughout the second. In the first spell how often did we see Stevens to O’Connell to Fleck to Stevens to Fleck to O’Connell then finally a cross into a congested box.

We definitely did not play to Rak-Sakyis strengths, it frustrated me as his numbers stacked up with the best considering his minutes on the pitch. How he can score two goals one game and be benched the next baffles me as well, he was never going to get super sharp and carry confidence and momentum with no continuity

Cheaper to buy in January, now he's not even got a loan move...?

Doubt he gets on the pitch more than a couple of minutes, if at all, at Palace... Though his record for their youth teams was pretty damn good.
