Undoubtedly has talent but unfortunately just doesn’t seem to work hard enough to show it consistently. He had maybe 1 good game in every 3 for us last season when operating in a properly coached system. Is likely to stand around looking as confused as the rest of us in this current tactical mess.

Appreciate these, but sometimes relying our eyes (as poor as they are) is also a decent indicator - because seeing him slowly jog back many many times last season I just dont think he likes doing the grafting side of things.

I dont rate Ogbene very highly, but he makes more sense as a potential winger for us in our current situation. Although we all hope we wont be in that situation much longer.

Ogbene for now. JRS if we get an actual attack minded, tactically adept manager in.

I think he was ahead of Brooks last year in terms of his composure, but like Brooks he had an up and down season in terms of form.

But compared to Barry, he's light years ahead at the moment. If we could get Rak-Sakyi and send Barry back today, i'd take that.

(i'm sure Barry will develop as the season goes on but we need a player for now)

Brooks is a wide player.

Just not a championship level one. He is NOT a central player whatsoever

As others have said, if he's used properly then it's a no brainer. He was in and out of the team last season and still ended up being the 3rd highest goalscorer, but doing stupid things like dropping him after he scored twice against Luton didn't do him any favours

Was under-rated on here, but again it's another player that's not much of a chance creator. Can't build an entire attack around players that don't create chances.

Brooks is a wide player.

Just not a championship level one. He is NOT a central player whatsoever

He broke into the team in a midfield 3, and played the majority of his youth career in the middle. There is a years worth of evidence to show he isn’t a wide player. He could easily play on the left of a midfield 3 in this league

I think his agent is just working overtime to get him a move. So he seems to be getting linked to a few clubs.

I do think he would get more game time now Wilder has left to be honest.

What we need is a combination of Brooks & Rak-Sakyi on the wing, JRS would be OK in a attacking sense, moveBarry to the right and him on left, but wouldn't want to pay too much over the odds for him tbh

Seemed to lose confidence in the second half of the season. Similar to Gus in that he's great when at his best but he's not at his best very often. Badly need someone for that position though.

It's the nature of the beast. The most consistent will play higher up and command salaries outside our range.
