"An offer worth £8m" isn't an offer of £8m. It's an offer which could reach £8m dependent on success. The up front fee would be approximately half of what Humberside Jungle Cats want for Hughes.

The other option we should be exploring at that sort of money is Doyle but I have a feeling that City want £10m guaranteed for him.

Given our position you'd imagine one of those add ons would be promotion, same for Hughes if Coventry do sign him.

Plus the bonus of, if we sign both Bobby Thomas and Zatterstrom, come the end of the season we'd still have 2 permanent CB's on good contracts, which was a well justified criticism from this summer.

He’s a head it kick it shithouse of a CB with good experience at this level and Selles did say in his presser he wanted some experience of the division to come in. To be honest whilst he’s not good on the ball some real steel in the back 4 might be what’s needed and let Bindon and in future Zatterstrom be the cultured partner next to him. The Killgallon to his Morgan

Unless they've scored a pretty good goal worth remembering, you only really notice defenders when they make mistakes.
