We're not very good at football

Just wanted to say we're shit at football
Great analysis - well worth a new thread at the top of the forum.

Here's my analysis - hopefully in a month or two we'll be quite good, with (a) actual defensive players in the team, (b) time to settle into new tactics and systems.

Not the team or managers fault. We can only play with what we got. Is it the owners fault for not releasing money or the EFL threat of more penalising action hanging over us due to a 2-3 year old points penalty for not paying on time.

Don't think we are totally shit, just lacking leaders, defenders of a certain ability and a tactical game plan from the manager that gets best out of this squad. Apart from that we are fine.

The biggest miss at the moment is Arblaster - firstly for his ability and the fact he is box to box, secondly for a bit of leadership (even from a youngster, but he gives us that connection).

- - - - - - - - - - - -Cooper - - - - - - - - - - -

Seol YW - - Bindon - - New CB - - Burrows

- - - - - - - - - - Soumare - - - - - - - - - - -

New RW - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Barry - -

Back up; Davies, Seriki, New CB, McAllum, Peck, OHare, Brooks, Cannon, One

Gives us half a chance with current tactics.

Arblaster is a HUGE miss. He's key to this formation working in my eyes. He's our version of Declan Rice.

Isn’t that the reason we love this club so much….Or is it just me? 🤦‍♂️

it is going to take time, a few bits that were a hard watch last night but at least looks like slowly we are pulling the right pieces into the jigsaw,

im usually very positive , a proper happy clapper

but what did you see improving last night

if we had lost 6-1 we would have no case to complain
1 touch in the opposition box borders on being disastrous

last season there were plenty complaining we kept winning but it was dull

what Id give to be that dull,, football is about winning, 90 points is a lot of winning
they can bore me stiff as long as we win

but to bore me stiff and to be abysmal is not a good look

Spot on, the 1 touch in the opponent box was just abarasing and agree we might not have been the most entertaining last year but was a much better feel around it all and you did not worry every time the other team had the ball, which is currently were we are at which is just a night and day turn around from last year!

Shilton, Neuer, Zoff, Buffon, Kahn, Schmeichel (both).

Edit: in fact, I'd go as far as to say that Cooper's brand of quiet competence and professionalism is EXACTLY what we need in a captain.
Yes but in midfield where he can talk to most of his colleagues as the game goes on
