Next Manager

Difficult to see what the options are for the next manager.
The owners (whoever they actually are) almost certainly won't take responsibility for a shitshow of their own making so it's likely Selles will carry the can reasonably soon unless (unlikely) a team suddenly emerges from the rubble.
Presumably we'll have some more flowery words about a project but after witnessing what's happened over the last couple of months difficult to see anyone of calibre wanting the job.
Remarkably, we'd probably be better off getting Wilder back as someone who can at least galvanise players in what may well become a relegation battle.

Wilder bored me to death last season. We need to give the manager time just as the owners asked.

I remember people wanting a new manager after we lost to Southend that time.

It’s two games ffs. One of which, in a competition that we almost always go out in the first or second round in.

Yes, things aren’t rosy at the minute, but change takes time and if people are willing to wait and give it a chance, we will never get anywhere.

Do you think he mite resine due to lack of support! Couldnt blame him really.
There’s a nagging feeling in me that this is Slav all over again.

Transfer budget promised but not delivered? Loan signings should complement policy, not lead it. This is what appears to be happening.

That, and the lack of comms and engagement with the support, gives me some concerns

The Prince (rightly) got pelters for never being here. As far as I’m aware, our new owners have been conspicuous by their absence too.

A new season should be about optimism, what you can achieve.

Already, I’m not feeling it

Difference is squad slav had compared to this one is absolutely world's apart.

Soon the club will be seeking a new manager.
He looks very angry however I really don't know what he expects weak as piss defence 10 changes yesterday many players with zero championship experience we are all over the place. I hate it when the term lost the dressing room gets banded about it won't be long at this rate

He looked like a rabbit in the headlights tonight when giving his post match interview. Completely and utterly out of his depth and the players know it too.
There’s a thread out there somewhere saying something remarkably similar about Wilder when we’d lost 0-3 to Southend.

Lot of people had to eat humble pie on that one.

The reaction towards the manager of losing a league game and a league cup game (to a Championship side not Lincoln or Barnet or whoever) is genuinely insane.

I know some people have a need to be noticed and to be seen as the first one to call it etc but it really is too much.

We’ve brought in a manager who likes to play a certain type of football but it’s clear he’s not been handed the tools to do the job. It might be a Slav 2.0 situation but give the guy a chance until the transfer window has shut at least. Why not try getting behind him instead of heaping a load of unnecessary pressure on him and the players and setting them up to fail.

He’s had to go with Sasanuskas, Curtis and Marsh in that side who are all nowhere the standard for Championship football and were constantly bullied into turning the ball over.

By all means question the owners….nothing seems to have changed since the Prince. Transfer business done at a snails pace and we are again committed to writing off August to wring out every last drop of value from the market because the funds aren’t there to make things happen.

But it’s not the manager’s fault. We’ve at least seen some decent football going forward and a semblance of what he’s trying to achieve. I had no idea what Slav was trying to get the players to do after 3 months or so.
