Since 2022/23 he's had a broken Fibula, Abductor injury, Lumbago and other minor injuries. Prior to that he had long Covid and struggled to regain fitness.

Might go some way to explaining his drop off.

It appears Sellés is willing to have a team where Bindon and Soumaré are the 'muscle'. Not too promising, in a harder division where more slip ups are likely. I think we'll have a soft centre and be capable of losing any game, to set pieces etc

How much does a typical loan signing cost? If we’re paying Godfrey’s wages and no loan fee that’s £3.5m total until the end of June.

Say for other players we have to pay a £1m-£2m loan fee plus wages, then it probably doesn’t work out much more expensive for Godfrey.

Looking at squad numbers allocated Selles may also be after a No9 ?

Personally I wouldn’t want to spend £3m on a loan that is not our player and goes back at the end of the season, especially if money is tight, but that’s just my opinion
