I take it people at home can watch half-time manager's comments, subs' comment, etc, on TV at home and not at the ground live.
Another bad idea from Sky Sports, in my opinion. Half time will be longer than 15 minutes, so full time will be later.
Great if you're at the game, evening games in particular won't finish until after 10 pm.Good luck getting public transport home, so in effect, causing fans to stay at home and watch on TV. Bleeding Sky Sports is ruining our game. This will affect attendance for evening games.
Its got absolutely nothing to do with sky, its the premier league wanting it

Good news for those who might want to actually get a beverage/have a piss without having to miss part of the game?

For half time to last more than 15 minutes they would need to get the Laws of the Game changed.

Law 7

2. Half-time interval
Players are entitled to an interval at half-time, not exceeding 15 minutes; a short drinks break (which should not exceed one minute) is permitted at the interval of half-time in extra time. Competition rules must state the duration of the half-time interval and it may be altered only with the referee’s permission.

If it's money talking it will easily change to how they want it, they floated the idea of 60 "in play minutes" instead of 90 minutes with injury time. If they got their way with 60 minutes no doubt they would be dividing it up into 4 x 15 minutes so they can have several advert breaks. Play 15 have a 10 minute break knowing them lot, ideal for Saudi!

It will still need a change in the Laws

Bad link on the club website, which I'm sure they'll fix. But heads up if anyone is going to early away games, the times/days may have changed

Only shows us being on TV for Brizzle, Brum in the cup, and Boro away. Based on the subtitle of the article on the club website, we're missing one more. That said, they're meant to be confirming TV selections to the end of September today, and the above only shows August.

They've pulled that article off the club site now

TV selections released tomorrow. This explains why the club pulled the article off the website too

Ipswich away, Friday night.

We certainly can.

Any games which get changed to an early kick off, pretty much wipes out the chances of a vast majority of our match going away fans the chance to go.
Exactly! Friday 8pm k.offs can't get back with the usless fckg trains@

Preston away is the best regular away day, and for the 2nd season in a row, they've ruined that

It's at the point where every other game of ours is on TV. It's absurd. Are we really such an attraction? Football is just for the TV audience now - even the championship. It helps with streaming availability but what affect on attendances? I know its impacted my away attendance - it's easier than ever not to bother

I'm sick of the sterilisation of the Sheffield derbies. 13:00? Not good enough. No, it simply must be 12:00. And that's not enough either. It needs to be Sunday too. Just why? It's never, ever going to change is it? It is just pathetic

They couldn't care less about fans who actually attend games. Practically speaking I don't know what we can do about it other than fans at games expressing their displeasure - but they won't take any notice of that.

The extended warning in the first stage of the season is broadly a good thing.

Later on however when games mean something I think there's only 4 weeks warning which is a bad thing.

Does it really though? I'd hazard a guess the vast majority still sell out 🤷‍♂️

No, hence my reply up thread. For every fan that is "inconvenienced" by a fixture change (and it is odd how many fans can find their way to a host city for 10-11 in the morning to get pissed for a 3pm KO, but do that for a half twelve and the toys are displaced from the pram), there's just as many that can now make it.

Also people complain about the timings and how people won’t go.

Sky TV would reply…..just look at the attendances…they’ve never been as high in the PL or EFL.
It’s pretty incredible when you think a club like Arsenal charge £50 for adults and £25 kids to be added to their season ticket waiting list.
Yet at the moment their waiting list is 90,000.

Also the Premier league has never been as popular…both at home and especially abroad.

So it does look like Sky must be doing something right.

Honestly I get the whole disapproval of Sky, I really do, but announcing fixture changes for the next 5 months surely isn't a bad thing is it?
