And what about the other stuff involved that's more long term? It doesn't have to be the two man guys even just a Bettis interview which was the norm under the Prince would be sensible

I agree the other stuff needs to be addressed with a press conference once the departure and arrival are concluded.

I'm hoping that they will use this change of direction to do exactly what the letter says tbf so I think the timing is perfectly fine 🤷‍♂️

He hasn't left yet though. We get the biggest statement ever written in history once everything is confirmed

I don't see this as them calling for it to be before the obvious stuff has to be done first though. Obviously it would have to be afterwards.

Wasn't asked my opinion before it was given on my behalf as part of our support like everyone here (and elsewhere), but my personal opinion is that it's poor timing and does come across a little aggressive and entitled.

The club have a communication strategy and whether we agree with it as supporters or not, on the field matters aren't our direct remit as fans and never will be while we don't own the club.

We absolutely should hold the club to account and challenge them and robust conversations should be had whether it upsets the club or not, but I'm not sure this is the time, method or even on parts of it, the reason to.

Never heard of them, so they’re clearly not acting on my behalf.

What’s their remit, it’s clearly not representing fans or communicating with fans on club matters…

As probably the biggest blades forum, you’d think they’d communicate on here
Apparently this place is a cesspit, so don’t hold your breath.

Or actually, if it is is a cesspit you probably should.

Don't go saying that Swiss, Foxy will have an even bigger ego now, biggest forum etc. 😂 😂 😂

Biggest forum maybe, but still a relatively small number. Just a guess, but say 25k regular attenders and max 5% post on here. I certainly don’t think posters on here are representative of our “fan base”, so the FAB is unlikely to speak for many of us.

Is there any other single group that represents more of us?

Are we doing this now to try and make the Wednesday fans feel a bit better?

You know, like "you have a reyt moan about your club today, we'll make some shit up and pretend we're upset about our club tomorrow" kind of thing?

Grow up 'Bob' you utter tool. You don't represent the fanbase.

utb

Ps. Bob isn't a 'Flat Earther' by any chance, is he?

The WI of the football word. Completely the wrong timing, which calls into question both their competence and intentions.

Anyway, Wednesday seem to have about 278 supporters groups, why do we only have one?

Was started a few years ago as a Premier League initiative where every club had to hold meetings with the fans. To be fair to United they carried it on when we were relegated. Some good people on the board and some good things have come from it such as reopening the fan park and the safe standing talks.

This seems to be a bit odd though when there's obviously legal issues before the club can announce anything. To be fair a minority of fans are acting like the club has been destroyed so they probably got loads of messages asking for statements about something they can't make a statement about yet. Understandable that people aren't happy about writing a letter on behalf of the fans when the Wilder thing is such a divisive issue.
The problem with this letter is that it covers too many topics.
It is reasonable to ask the owners to give an outline of their motives and plans for the future, but it is not reasonable to press them to comment on matters which are time sensitive and where the fans have no right to be kept up to date until there is a formal announcement to make.
If there is a press conference to welcome a new manager then that would be a good opportunity for them to give some guidance as to their overall ethos and plans.

This is all nothing to see here, isn't it? There was a wide and detailed recruitment process to the FAB..The Club used their official channels, websites, social media, to encourage people to apply. Many did. And there is no secret about who is on the FAB. The Clubs official channels regularly give updates about meetings and discussions.

Sure, posters might claim never to have heard of it, but it's hardly the Freemasons.

People posting the likes of "not in my name", seems a bit pompous, and I know a thing or two about pomposity.

My supporters group, the Carrier Bag Firm, made sure we got someone on FAB. They feedback things to us, and take on board stuff we would like to have discussed.

It's not "my thing". But it's just a letter to Bettis

Who are they? Who appointed them to speak on our behalf and what is their remit?

First I’ve seen of them so I presume it’s a new thing
FABs with a democratic mandate can play a useful role. The problem with ours is it has no such mandate. The Board, via Bettis, asked for applications and then picked who they wanted. Hence, ‘they don’t speak for me,’ is an inevitable response.

That said, their complaint about the owners’ failure to communicate any semblance of a ‘plan’ is fair isn’t it? They’ve been in charge for six months and surely supporters are ‘entitled’ to hear something?

They issued a statement following the playoff final.

I've just sent a strongly worded letter to club.
"Naaa then, you lot of chuffnuts, wots happening wiv dem pigeons....stop flapping wiv decisions".
Yours sincerely
Blades pigeon advisory group.
Signed

Yeah no dramas just really didn’t know where they’ve come from and who they are

Bit weird to be honest

Wouldn’t it be an idea to actually share who they are on here though? Do they have a website or something to see their work?
