We still don't even know what his best position is. Says it all really.

Big player for us next season.

Discuss.
I assume you’re not being serious, but in case you are, have the following thoughts.
1. He’s too little to be big.
2. If he turns out to be one of our big players, we’re in trouble.
3. His legs are made from Weetabix.
4. His lack of contribution this season suggests we should get rid. We need players who actually challenge for a place in the squad.

If he is serving the pies though, I’d have a Chicken Balti one.

If I was running a club, one of few directives I’d feel entitled to give to the management and recruitment staff:
‘If you’re going to sign a utility player, make sure he’s got a reliable and proven fitness record. I’m not paying for a player to get injured and leave us light for cover on 3 different positions’

You’d think it’s beyond common sense to do this, but astonishingly loads of clubs do it. Reminds me of us signing Ryan France when we knew the kind of knee problems he’d had

Big shaq doesn't probably hasn't had a ride on the team bus yet

Shackelton should follow Brewster out the door if you don't produce you should be at the club too many hangers on is one reason why we struggle with top teams

If he's going to stay, he needs to have a good preseason to impress and look at the coming season as a fresh start.

If he doesn't want to stay (which might be for the best) maybe someone could take him on loan in L1 or lower end of the championship (or buy him for cheap), frees up some wages either way.

And there we go “a good pre season “ behind him. Most of them had a good pre season and could only last 60 minutes or they were like broken biscuits at the bottom of the tin .

Except we signed him on a three year contract to July 2027. Another long contract for a bit part player

He needs to be supported but also fined to fuck as he's been unavailable for almost all the season.

Wilder had a few players that he moved on after not very long when he managed us in the championship before: Lee Evans … Ryan Leonard … Ricky Holmes ..:
They seemed to be moved on pretty quickly after making little to no impact.
I wonder if Shackleton will go the same way.
