Capology has him on £7500 a week other sites have him. on £12500 a week so safe to say its around £10k a week. I would make him avaiable for free and get him off the books

Not saying that any professional footballers wants to be constantly injured, but seriously, can you imagine (as a non footballer) being paid around £7500 to £1,000 A WEEK for never actually having to do your well remunerated job, and also having access to first class private gym club and private rehabilitation classes, all for doing nowhere close to what you are paid to do....no early mornings and also frequent trips to the continent to watch your pals doing lots of running whilst you lay up sucking on a straw a d contemplating life...

Chuck in, the club probably giving you a 24 hour concierge and other perks...

When the fun stops.....

Huge miss, was a certain starter vs Bristol. Just read the news that he and Tom Davies were playing in the first game but now we've suffered a huge double injury blow.

Gonna have to spend money now, these 2 are practically irrelevant, damn you autocorrect I was writing irreplaceable x

Will Selles even register Shackleton as part of the squad? He can't have seen very much of him, won't have seen him playing in anger, in a game. Places are limited, is Selles going to take a punt on the promise that Shackleton could be decent? Arguably, we'd be better off giving his place to a free loanee or even an U23 prospect, at least then they'd be a known quantity. The timing of this might play into the decision to register him or not.

Davis, l think, deserve a squad place because when fit, he's a cracking footballer and the hope has to be, they'll be able to keep all his limbs attached.

I'm sick of us saying if not injured if fit etc hopefully Selles is a fan of players who can fulfill majority of a season and tells the board to fuck Shackleton off.

I used to wonder that about Jamie Redknapp. His injury problems seemed to rack up after he married Louise. Do you want to train 2-3 times per week then play a match or two, or stay at home "injured" on £20k per week knobbing Louise?

This is a joke got to be or are you related to Shackleton

How? It's not that simple. You either sell him, in which he would need to not be injured by the close of the transfer window. Send him on loan, in which he would need to not be injured by the close of the transfer window. Or you agree to a mutual termination. What if he doesn't agree? You can't just get rid of players. It's not that simple, unless you have a pre-written in the contract that could lead to a mutual termination.

Exactly this. He may not be fit by the end of the transfer window anyway so we will be keeping him until January. Selles will probably use him as a bit part player - cup games on the bench etc. Like other players with poor injury records, it isn't his fault and he'll have a chance hopefully to prove his fitness and then maybe get a decent move to another Championship club in January, freeing up some wages for us to make other signings in January. It happens, every signing cannot work out.

Think he will be 5 foot 6 like every season
He needs to do what Peter Shilton's dad made him do, which was hang him from the bannisters and put weights on his legs in an effort to make the little dwarf taller. Scientists have said that without this Shilts would have been shorter than Warwick Davis. Didn't prevent Shilts from letting than deflected free kick go over his noggin (was it in WC90?) or get beaten in the air by an Argentinian dwarf (yes even with the help of a hand) at WC86.

Shackleton bingo on Saturday in the 2nd half...

I'll take 68mins he's off after coming on at 60mins ish...

Lost my faith in this guy, sorry if anybody gets all upset..

My opinion..happy for you to have yours..

Oh, might not get through the warm up, might be a better bet..

I know he hasn't asked to be injured so I do feel for him but his performances last season in a side that was winning weren't anything to get excited about. Coming into a wide that's only won one game all season is not going to help him or the side in any way is it?!

Presumably CW had the final say though.

I know he likes a project but his track record with them isn’t the best
He’s a tiny project too hugely lacking in strength or stature.
On the plus side he’s quick off the mark, bright and tidy in possession but likely to be easily brushed off the ball by any league 1 player or above.
Anyone who has even the smallest knowledge of Yorkshire football would have known about Shacks lack of availability over the years prior to the signing.
It’s just one that reeks of desperation/corruption and a blind ignorance of the basic facts or some sort of messiah complex that you can heal the sick and get Shacks playing regularly

If I’m honest I was trying to be somewhat charitable….

Brilliant news, just what we need, Shackleton is back, our season is saved, so begins the march up the league to the play offs....ps remind me again what position does he play ?
