Cooper - I think he needs another season with us.

Burrows - 50/50 of all the new signings he’s the one someone could gamble on.

CB x 1 - Robinson not good enough

CB x 2 - Anel will be off £15 mil should do it.

RB - Sereiki + 1 more wouldn’t mind Hamzah.

LM - X 1 - Hamer will go £25 mil should do it for the champs player of the year.

CM - Peck

CM - Arblaster

CM x 1 - Souza will go £20 mil should do it.

RM x 1 - JRS off back don’t renew.

CAM - O’Hare

ST - Moore

ST - Campbell

ST - One

ST - Cannon

If we can bring in £60 mil in sales and reinvest £30 then with what’s left and good signings we should be set to go again and dare I say it… even stronger
If Anel goes Souza goes for £20 million I’ll drive to wherever myself, you have to remember that Anel is in his last year of his contract unless we can create a bidding war we will get far less than those figures we are after alla championship club

Unfortunately, I expect Wilder to offer him terms,
I cant see us spending massively eather, I also, after this seasons showing, wouldn't be paying Southampton anywhere near what they want for BBD, he hasn't exactly shone this time round, even though I think he's a decent player.
I don't.

Dunne will probably come in which is a great start, O'Hare will stay and he's a good player to have, as will Campbell, Cannon, T Davies, Arblaster, maybe Peck but even if Peck goes you've got Arblaster anyway, Burrows probably, Seriki, Brooks. Add in a few decent new signings to potentially replace the likes of Hamer and Souza and I think we'll be really strong still next season. I'm not definite that Hamer will go. Souza probably the most likely departure. Who knows on Robbo.

Gonna say this again mate as you're not alone here, Souttar is out injured till way past August. So no way he's coming back this summer.
Won't be ready for pre season and unlikely till be match fit til the new year according to Leicesters equivalent of The Star

If we sell hamer, souza, peck & Anel then a line up like this.

------------------Cooper
---Dunne Boly Holding Burrows

----------Arblaster---Doyle(loan)

---fellows----chakvetadze----Sainz

-------------------Campbell

Subs
Ryan(gk)
Riis
Moore
Dijksteel / Seriki
McCallum
Poku
Ohare
T.davies
Darling

Majority of these are out of contract and would only have to reinvest in Holding/chakvetadze/Sainz. Id also look to try and move robbo, rnd & Shackleton on (if possible, if not let them gather dust as emergency back ups)

  1. Cooper
  2. Choudary
  3. Anel
  4. Soutter
  5. Burrows
  6. Souza
  7. Arblaster
  8. Peck
  9. Hamer
  10. Campbell
  11. O hare

Next to zero chance that Souttar plays before JTW next year.

He had it re-operated on in about February time. The recovery time is up to about a year.

Good point about Anel…

Souza is worth £20 million all day long

Boly or mbemba would both be better options for soutta role and both out of contract.

If we are wanting to push for promotion this is who we should have in the team after sales.

Cooper
Burrows
CB ?
CB ?
Hamzah
LM ?
Arblaster
Peck
RM
ST ?
Campbell

Subs

GK ?
Davies CM
Sereki RB
Moore ST
One ST
O’hare CAM
Robinson CB
LB ?
Brookes LM/RM
LM/RM ?
CM ?

So I reckon 9 signings …

5 starters
4 squad players

Or 6 starters + 3 depending Oli’s fitness

If Hamer stays, as he might, then I hope Souza and O'Hare may also stay, yhey are a little clan together. Like many others here, I don't think Hamer quite fits EPL profile. If Leeds come in with a whopping bid, he will probably go. But apart from that little interest from UK imo.

Generally speaking it's easier to keep a top quality keeper because they'd have to be a starter at the team they're moving to. I'm not sure there'll be a prem team looking at paying decent money for Cooper after one season for us unless it's one of the promoted sides. Wilder also values a good keeper extremely highly and I think he'll be desperate to keep him for another year.

I'm also not certain that Hamer goes. He's good enough (we've seen how well Iliman & MGW have done after stepping up) but at 28 he might be too old for teams to pay what he's worth to us.

So, weve fucked it up again....Will we pay the price of, once again, losing our best players???

Who stays, who goes, who's new!??
What do you think the team will look like when we kick off next season??
Not convinced Hamer leaves like a lot seem to be. Think Anel will go and I don't see Souza doing another year in the Champ. Imagine Cooper will have suitors but only going to leave if he is first choice, rules out the majority other than Leeds, who seem to be looking elsewhere and Burnley if Trafford goes Newcastle. Brewster I think goes (would for me) and RND. Choudray signs and takes Souza's place, I think Holding will come back and I wouldn't be against BBD back as well ( in a minority with that I know, but he is proven quality in this league) . Jimmy Dunne to start at right back, another centre half to start with Holding, and a right winger. Mentality of the players needs to be better and as a squad I would like to see more pace, especially coming off the bench.

This would be my expected line up. I'm not going to Dorchester on who we might sign but I expect Anel, Vini and Gus to leave

---------------------Cooper-----------------------
Seriki - New CB - New CB - Burrows
------------Peck---------New CM------------
Brooks--------Arblaster-------------COH
--------------------Campbell-------------------

My preference would be a formation like...

---------------------Cooper-----------------------
Seriki - New CB - New CB - Burrows
----Peck---------New CM--------Arblaster
-------------COH----------Campbell
--------------------Moore-------------------

Hopefully we'll have an attacking midfield that can chip with some goals to start with.
Happy to let Vini if thats what he wants,
We've been way to defensive in midfield.

Don’t forget our scouting is now done by A.I.

In fact I can exclusively reveal below the A.I. that recommended the signing of Tom Cannon…

I’d like to see us start the season with a squad similar to this. Hoover up the decent frees available and leave us 4 loan spots for January if needed to give us that extra.

Wouldn’t be averse to seeing Brewster for another year if it means Brooks can get a full season somewhere playing 90 each week

Think Anel and Vini will go abroad. Not sure about Gus. Apart from Leeds I don't think anyone else in Prem will come in for him. Added to that I don't think he'd leave to go to another Championship club.

Unless silly money is offered I don't think Sydie will leave yet.

Out of loanees I'd try to sign Hamza and Holding. I would have had Souttar if he was ready for August.

I wouldn't offer Brewster and Robbo new deals.

I'd look to keep Holding nd actually play him!
Jimmy Dunne I expect will already be progressing, I'd also like us to go for Souttar and Choudhury if possible.
Blaster and Peck in the middle could be brilliant, with Tom Davies, if he can stay fit for longer than 13mins obviously!, as back up.
Souttar is 9 months away

Hamer nailed on Everton

There seems to be a widespread assumption that Hamer will be on his way, but on what basis?

Gus simply does not fit the profile. It isn’t sufficient in the top flight to be skilful. These days, skilful players also have to be powerful athletes - in fact, that factor seems to be more important than the skill element.

Pretty much every established Premier League side is full of tall, muscular, powerful, quick players. The likes of Palace, Bournemouth, Brentford and Brighton are full of them. If anything, it is only the absolute elite teams - specifically Man City - who get away with playing some skilful players of relatively small stature, but that is because they can’t afford the very best world class footballers. And, even then they need the likes of Rodri in as a minder, otherwise they can become vulnerable.

Some fans were surprised that Berge was sought after by Premier League clubs, but they shouldn’t have been because his size gives him the sought after ability to cover the pitch effortlessly.

So, I’m not sure that Gus will necessarily be a target. A promoted side is perhaps the only likely suitor. But, I’m not sure he is what either Sunderland or Burnley will look for.

That leaves the Dirties. We know their CEO/Directors had a moan about not getting Hamer in Summer 2023, and then tried to nick him again in Summer 2024, so it can’t be put past them to come again…even if only through spite. It would be quite an expensive exercise if they just want to make a point, though.
Out of the 3 (Hamer, Souza, Anel) I think Anel is the most likely to leave, simply because of the contract situation.

He's got a year left and is yet to sign a new deal, personally I would like him to stay as we've seen how good he is with a good CB next to him, but given that he hasn't signed a new contract I wouldn't be surprised if he left.

Dream land stuff there mate. No way we'll get Sainz or Fellows who will be looking for moves to top flight clubs. Poku is more realistic though.

Given each player 1 position rather than multiple positions (that some can play).

GK: Cooper, A Davies, Faxon, Grbic?
RB: Seriki, S Curtis, Shackleton?, Dunne?
CB: Anel?, Robbo, Baptiste, Freckleton?, Holding?
LB: Burrows, McCallum, RND?, Boyes?
RW: Brooks, Hampson, Brewster?
CM: T Davies, Arblaster, Peck, Souza?, Choudhury?
LW: Hamer?, BBD?
CAM: O'Hare, Marsh
ST: Campbell, Moore, Cannon, Oné

Dunne and Choudhury I expect will both be signed for next season, Holding I think will only sign if he's been impressed enough with CW and the club as a whole (it's not impossible) and chooses to come back for that reason.

BBD, if it was just based off of this season, it would be a no, but if we signed him as a striker to play in a 2 up top (like he did with McB in the PL) rather than using him as a winger like this season, i would consider it, especially with that option to buy.

Seen a few people saying Robbo has played enough games to trigger an extension, so Brewster is our only out of contract player?
