I think mcburnie would be a decent signing in the championship. However I think we'd need at least one if not two wingers coming in to supply Mcburnie and or when Moore plays. We havent provided many crosses this season for Moore and that needs to change next season.
Moore would do nothing with crosses because he can't jump any more. McBurnie would do better. I expected Moore to be better than McBurnie aerially but he's far from it

McBurnie and Campbell would be a very good partnership but yes, the supply line would need looking at

Any who got 14 in a championship season?

I would absolutely have him. In the more fluid 1 up top with 3 then 2 behind him he would work better than Moore

Please post his entire SU games, goals and assists to put this into context.

Did you enter Wembley 5mins late?

And was also our top goalscorer ( joint) in the premier league twice! He's got to be the best championship bound free striker this summer...

Because in the last 6 years or so we are the only club stupid enough to pay money for him.

Rather have Didzy back.

He improved a lot physically about 3 years ago and started staying fit. It made a big difference to his game so I judge him from that point

He's better at scoring goals than Brewster and Oli Burke, I'll give you that
He scored as many as Ndiaye did in our last promotion and he was playing with a hernia for most of that spell then did his ankle.

Name a striker out there who is likely to have a season like that we could sign on a free.

And one went for nothing to the beach and the other we got a record fee for.

Why didn’t a promoted team take him off us?

Why do we need to sign a striker on a free? We're not selling Cannon or Moore, so we'd just have a big queue of misfiring strikers behind Campbell. There will be plenty available for a modest fee, or a loan.

Not sure if wind ups although never thought that was a specialty of Rickbert. Failing that, Probably the same posters who wanted James Beattie back based on what he did for us before.

WE don't need to spend fur the sake of it at the same time.

There's not many strikers who will get 14 goals without spending decent money which as we know is never a sure fire thing. It's actually rare. Only 4 players managed it this year...

But we don't know he'll get 14 goals, that's just his best season. As I said, he once got zero goals! Moore once got 20 goals in a season, doesn't mean he will next time.

You didn't answer...
Your question is redundant on the basis that, as someone previously pointed out which you choose to ignore, he also went a season without so much as a goal or assist.

Maybe that’s why nobody took him…

There might not be one on a free, but I still wouldn't want McBurnie.

He's hit more than 10 league goals in a senior season twice in his entire career.

He's scored more than 5 league goals in a senior season on five occasions.

For us, he played 159 games, which according to transfermarkt, accounts for 8,678 minutes. In that time, he has 29 goals and 9 assists.

That's around 300 minutes per goal, or nearly 230 minutes per goal involvement. Alternatively, that's over 5 and 4 appearances per goal, and goal involvement respectively. And the one season he played with Ndiaye and hit 13 in the league, heavily skews those figures in his favour. I'd argue that that season was severely abnormal for him in our team.

He's not worth the expense we would need to provide to get him to sign.

His best season was 22 with Swansea.

I don't see us signing anyone with a better record for any fee let alone free.
