And who exactly would take over? That guy from Forest that got sacked? Farke, post the sack 🫣😂

We were shite in the second half and deserved to lose. Sunderland played with the passion that we should have shown.
We couldn’t string 3 passes together

How Sunderland were allowed to win that by Wikder I’ll never ever know

As a Toon fan, said to my boy when you were missing those chances, it'll cost Sheffield United. For what its worth i thought Wilder was cowardly. He may have said so, but my simple instructions would have been " stay on the front foot, continue to attack at all times and you'll maintain momentum. ". As soon as the Mackums equalised, their winner was inevitable. It's that Napoleon thing: " don't give me good Generals, give me lucky ones". They had it in abundance against Coventry and today when you missed a number of chances. I despise Sunderland, the absolute shit hole but if It's any consolation, you'll pass them next season because they are an absolutely atrocious side.

More anger than disappointment for me. Particularly Moore, he drove me mad today, especially in the second half. For all of the headers won, so many promising opportunities, or out and out opportunities to square the ball for a clear chance, broke down because of him and his passing ability and ability to get his head up. And then that pass! It might be misplaced and a sleep will bring me back, but fucking Keiffer Moore.

First half we were by far the better side and the VAR killed us.

Second half we had literally nothing in the middle of the pitch and it was crying out for Tom Davies to get a grip of it and retain possession.

Hamer played some lovely balls but he also is a liability in possession at times and gives the ball away far too easily.

Moore pretty dominant in the air but oh my god he is woeful on the deck. He had one glorious chance to pass in the second half and fucked it up spectacularly. There were another couple of occasions where he made a complete shambles of whatever he was trying to do in the attacking third.

Another of those occasions where everyone could see a Sunderland goal coming for the equaliser and the winner was just the crowning kick the bollocks to complete play off final misery bingo.

That VAR really deflated the fans and the team. We were going nuts cos it was 2-0 then all of a sudden its chalked off and people around us all seemed deflated, despite us being 1-0 up. From then there was a weird hush in the crowd, a nervousness and it was also evident with the players.

I thought you guys seemed tired second half, as if the first half had taken it out of you. VAR fckd you over, honestly it sucks the life oug of football. As you know when it's in use and your team scores your initial thoughts are:"how they gonna chalk it off", fckn hate it I do. Agreed with some of your posters, that disallowed goal sort of knocked the stuffing out of you

It was indeed, and we fumbled it, threw it to the black cats and handed it to them.

Take the red and white tinted glasses off. Not good enough on the day. Again. Eventually, Wilders incomings and one dimensional tactics and decision making cost us in the region of 220 million quid.
What ate you on about " take the tinted glasses off" clearly the game was in our hands. Go and get some specs for yourself we had dominated the 1st half and blew great chances to seal a victory

We weren't good enough to see it out
See also automatic promotion
Didn't score freely or consistently enough across the season
Not good enough
We handed it to Sunderland as we didnt have enough and the subs killed it

Again

It's what we do

let Sunderland enjoy the summer but i worry about them. coventry handed them the semi final in the 1st leg with a similar cock up. & gifted goal. then where gifted promotion in the same way

but for that last kick winner in the 2nd leg. they were about to go into a play off final having lost 6 of their last 8 games. they could be another Southampton

Too tired is no excuse. Sunderland played the same season as us, played two semis like us and played the same amount of time in the final.

before i talk about the match it was amazing day, atmosphere was incredible at times. so special to be there. but it was just tainted by the cruel ending. i felt like if we are ever going to break the century old wembley curse. yesterday was the today as we had an attacking threat which we couldn't say in the last 3-4 finals.

we started so well. couldve lead in the 1st min. but brilliant save from the goal keeper. still gutted about the 2nd. like when united shouldve been 4-1 up on fulham but for VAR. that was an incredible moment for all utd fans. it was 1 of brilliant moments where i genuinely thought we had done it. after 100 years we were going to finally have our day. but then its ruled out for nitpicking again. trying to be perfect in a imperfect sport.

proof is that trying to be fair made it unfair as its not a level playing field anymore. we dont have VAR for 48 games. from early August to mid may & yet it used for the 49th. & in any of those 48 games we win that game comfortably. weirdly jimmy anderson the cricketer said it the best about not liking VAR. things do even out over the season. but you only remember the things that didnt go your way.

for me it was combination of poor decisions in the final third from kieffer moore, 3 or 4 brilliant saves from the Sunderland keeper & really bad luck. from VAR, Hamer & BBD injured, anel concussion

kieffer moore firstly he had a very poor 2nd half why he did not square to campbell for tap in for 2-0 is beyond me but that suicidal pass that cost us promotion deep in stoppage time is utterly unforgivable. for all errors we shouldve been in extra time its on a par with Gerrard costing Liverpool the title & i dont know how we or the players get past it. as saying yesterday how do you look a man in the eye. who just gift wrapped sunderland promotion on a plate in the last minute

NEVER MIND, we'll win more games next season than we would have if we would have hung on to the 1-0 lead and gone into the land of VAR. I hope the new owners don't pocket the second year's worth of premiership relegation money and give the 'managers' a chance to recruit new quality players, get shut of the dross and get lessons in tactics if the 'Wilderbeast' is kept on.

Once I saw Keef was on the starting list I knew the game plan was punt the ball up to him, then anyone's guess. The defence were slow and was happy to pass the ball across the park while sitting too far back, letting the opposition reform and attack our midfield who were getting hammered. Var killed us ( as well as Keef being too gready or not seeing Tyreece for the tap in). Thus letting the inferior team get the 'cash'

The Championship is the better league for us to stabilise and build a football team that will be able to get results in 'Varland' when we get automatic promotion next season. UTB.

we have to re-write leeds over the last 2 seasons they came back stronger from a play off final defeat and are certainly better equiped for next season in the premier league than they would have been but im afraid chris has to go we need to start a new era at the lane with a younger more forward thinking attacking manager and ive a feeling our new owners will be thinking the same barry banana can take the piss all he wants but its another 6 points for the blades next season utb ftp

I take no comfort whatsoever in saying, back in February, it'll be Leeds top, Burnley second, us third, Sunderland 4th. We'd lose to Sunderland in PO final. How I got slagged off by some of you lot. My inner vision is a curse.
