We were lucky for the most part that other teams were poorer than us and didn't take their chances. That luck ran out. The performances have been tedious, for the most part. 10-40 minutes of good football followed by holding a lead. Bristol City was a false dawn but the first half was pretty much the same. Does anyone think if they keep 11 men that we'd have done anything other than sit on a 1:0 lead?

Now, what I want to be is entertained. To get excited. To go 1-up and they try and score 2,3,4,5. I don't want a Poundland Pep whose only interest is not losing. To sit through every game holding on for 10, 20, 30, 45 minutes hoping we don't make a mistake or the other team produced a piece of skill.

I want a manger who attacks teams. Wants to win as impressively as possible. A manager who takes responsibility for their mistakes but also a manager who is progressive in their outlook. I'm fed up of having a classless, arrogant, pub loudmouth as my manager. He's turned this club into one of those teams everyone hates. Not for a good reason, like Bassett, but because of his own ego and arrogance.

I don’t think we belittle “smaller” teams. I think we probably have become more entitled based on recent history but so do a few other championship clubs. I think most our fans still recognise other clubs and their support. We still go into a lot games with a glass half empty despite having a better squad on paper.

If other clubs now dislike us it’s more down to the tit in the dugout.

All very true as the manager is not on the pitch. However negative tactics negative result. Who sets the tactics for the team?

oh, we do. Some of the comments online about 'small' clubs have been embarrassing. As were the comments after losing to Oxford and Plymouth. There's an entitlement now after our relative success. It might be a vocal minority but that's the vocal minority that fans of other clubs see.

Sean Dyche is a no for me too, my personal favourite would be Ruben Selles or take a punt on Pep Lijnders.
 
Big change then after every one saying what great job he'd done with the team in such a short time after last season.....
 
I like the bit where the OP suggests that the change to make where we have <5 minutes to score or season over is to make a like for like CB sub

Wilder's job was to get auto promotion, if not promotion via the playoffs.
Sadly failed. I know He is a Blade and did great in his first spell as Manager.
I think the new owners of the club think about his future.
Do they stick with him and hope He can get auto promotion next season?
Or replace Him now? Bearing in mind, if we keep Him and have a bad start to next season

He needs telling about his dress etiquette as well. The clothes he had on yesterday looked like what I put on on a Saturday morning after being on the piss on a Friday night. The Sunderland Manager looked smart, not like a tramps mate. For fucks sake he can’t be skint. Our whole back room staff look like the Dog and Duck on a Sunday morning,
 
For the record, I do not think for one minute that the new owners will sack him. It will immediately wind up a vocal minority of our fanbase against them. They've really shot themselves in the foot by giving him a new contract. It's not like he's going to leave and now he knows he can be stubborn and hold out for another huge failure payday from the club.
 
Michel Kniat is manager of Arminia Beilefled in Germany, who used to be in Europa League bit found themselves in 3rd Division.

This guy has gotten them promoted and to the final of the German Cup.

Could be our Klopp 😄

His dress sense mirrors his arrogant attitude similar to his boring repetitive press conferences. His theme tune could be The Specials "I go out on Friday night and I come home on Saturday morning" - dressed like a tramp.
 
It's easy to be critical of the manager, but for me the season looked impossible after big Harry was injured, and his replacement wasn't considered that important.
For me he was the kingpin of the defence and a priority to be replaced with the best money could buy, or at least the £10m spent on TC.

Football has moved on so much since Wilder was last successful. He shows no signs of being able to adjust or realise this.
Not acknowledging the fans at the end yesterday showed real contempt for the 35k fans and club and was a real piece of cowardice.
We need better and someone capable of taking us forwards

It was totally incompetent even arrogant- 6 weeks they had (and money obviously) to get someone in to replace Souter-
