I don't care to go throwing blame at any one person right now.

That 2nd half, from every man, both on that pitch, and in the dugout, was a fucking embarrassment.

An embarrassment to themselves.
An embarrassment to the thousands of fans that have come down to Wembley.
An embarrassment to those who have watched at home, or in a pub, or wherever.
An embarrassment to George.
An embarrassment to everything that our club stands for.

That first half wasn't amazing, but it didn't need to be. We scored a great goal on the break, and seemed to have a 2nd. But after half time, we never looked confident of holding the lead, and barring the one chance that Brooks made for himself, we never looked like extending it either.

When they made that double change and brought Isidor and Watson on, I knew it was going to go wrong. We're utterly incapable of reacting to an offensive switch like that.

Got what we deserved in the end, which was fuck all. Hope everyone responsible is ashamed to show their faces for a few weeks after we've let them fuck us like that.

Maybe I'll have calmed down by the time the new season starts, but right now I don't want to see any of them cunts ever again.

Absolute fucking disgrace.
Top post....but let's face it it's the story of our season games like that

When you take over 30,000 to a game and the other team can justifiably chant your support is fucking shit, it's a problem. Congrats to Sunderland, we offered nothing second half

30,000 day trippers and sightseeers, as opposed to 35,000 raucous football fans. That's what it looked and sounded like on TV.

If any Blade is claiming we were the better team and deserved it, we weren't.
We had large parts of it and handed the upper hand over after the subs
The old adage of not scoring when you're on top bites us again.
I wouldn't be surprised if Gus ends up at Leeds.

Sunderland - congratulations!

Enjoy the ride and cash. A sound club with great fans. That derby game will be something special.
Stop talking crap it was in our own hands (look back at the match chances 1st & 2nd half) We controlled & let it slip

It's been crap all season, no matter how some tried to talk it up.
BDTBL is a shell of what it was under Warnock, and in Wilders first spin.

Everyone who went, everyone who stayed at home and those who couldn't bear to watch all knew our potential vulnerabilities, a solid part f why our home support has been utterly rank.

Sunderland fans deserve their time in the spotlight.

VAR has taken away a magical moment from a young footballer… over nothing! Can you imagine how many historical moments wouldn’t exist if VAR had always been around!
You shouldn’t have to beat a team twice… VAR gave Sunderland a lifeline they didn’t deserve!
That being said… after that decision Sunderland played really well, especially in the last 20mins. Couple that with Hamer going off and that absolute howler from Moore… and it’s another Wembley heartbreak for us Blades.
See you all next season my friends ⚔️ UTB
That ball went theough about 8 bodies. Souza being there or not made no difference. He wasn’t saving that at all. Terribly subjective refereeing.

As a Sunderland supporter I'm absolutely delighted that you lost.

I was getting on ok on this board until your fans decided:

- to disrespect the Sunderland support
- to disrespect Sunderland AFC
- you were as cocky as cocky got thinking - like coventry that you only had to turn up to win, and
- you couldn't even sell your tickets for a final

You deserve to stay down and just maybe in future you will be just that littler bit more humble.

Enjoy the Championship.
I'm not sure any of these things are actually true. And, I'm an arsenal fan btw

Bloke got us 92 points.

Unless you’re getting Parker or Farke in, you’re getting someone worse.
Rinse and repeat then? No thanks.
Oh, stop banging on about the 92 points. RLB got 76 points and they still did us.
Bloke also chucked 10 m on Cannon, how much on Mcburnie and Rhian, made the same mistakes time and time again.
They did us as he left the door open and his decisions left us vulnerable to this one.

You’ve proper embarrassed yourself today. Makes the loss a bit more tolerable seeing how pathetic you are behaving

look forward to the inevitable silence from you when the magpies complete the easiest double in their history

Now get off our board you classless wanker

It was indeed, and we fumbled it, threw it to the black cats and handed it to them.

Take the red and white tinted glasses off. Not good enough on the day. Again. Eventually, Wilders incomings and one dimensional tactics and decision making cost us in the region of 220 million quid.

This was awful, and I'm not even a proper Blade.

What a terrible game, I'm not sure what the answer is here really, sack Wilder? .Well, Farke is getting sacked allegedly.

In the cold hard light of day, given last season - which I paid for and witnessed - would going back up be a good thing for the club at this point?

A couple of great players will leave, Gus to Leeds? Unfortunately. The focus needs to be on those that will stay, such as Callum hopefully. Campbell needs to stay and Cannon get a good run of games.

Those two points and the pathetic three games really cost the Blades, and that's not just Wilder but players too.

You seem to know little about respect.

Some would be content just to win.

The second half summed up our season. Today we; couldn’t / didn’t change tactics when it was needed, created no chances, costly mistakes from individual players who are favourites of the manager, changing personal but not tactics, passing backwards, often from attacking positions, playing a centre back pairing who got battered last season.

And hopefully his job..

Saw it as soon as Gus went off - they had no reason to sit back (scared of him) - instead they could push forward and took confidence that we kept sitting back to play in counter and knowing what they did to Cov in 2nd leg in last minute

If Brooks makes it 2-0, Sunderland don't come back. It's those margins sometimes.

That Moore giveaway just can't happen in the 93rd minute though. That was a backbreaker by a player who's been around for a while and should do better in that situation.

Been moaning on like a whiny bitch how they will never er win another game even though blades on here were telling him otherwise and then he reacts like this
First class cunt

I said the bloody subs would be the difference before the game and there we are.

Good first half. Great header/save from Moore. Quality counter-attacking goal. Goal rules out (correctly) by VAR. but otherwise we dominated and looked comfortable. They did have a free header but otherwise nothing.

They came out second half with more aggression and purpose. We still looked confirmable and were dangerous on the counter but that comfort rapidly started to slip away. They brought Roberts on. He created their goal. They brought Watson. He scored the winner. Our subs were disastrous and just made us weaker defensively. Brooks for Brewster was a good call. O'Hare playing as a striker next to Moore made both of them shit. BBD on for Hamer took any cover away from Burrows. Souza tired badly. Peck was a headless chicken all game. You could see it coming and yet Wilder persisted. It needed a change of formation but our tactical genus just handed them the game. Bringing on Seriki instead of Holding was the icing on the cake. And while Moore fucked up the fact we only had one CB on the pitch allowed them to capitalise.

Cooper - 7 - I thought he dominated the box well. Little to do in terms of saves and not at fault for either goal.
Burrows - 6 - Unlucky not to score but had a solid first half. He faded along with everyone else.
Robbo - 5 - Did ok first half but looked to be struggling in the second. Got more and more eratic as time went on and gets -10 for his performance or lack of as our captain. When we needed someone to sort things out he went missing.
Anel - 6 - As above. Did ok first half but seemed to fade.
Choudhury - 6.5 - Our best player first half but was poor second half, standing off his man and allowing them far too much room. He drifts into the middle when he gets tired. Should have been off as he was clearly struggling.
Peck - 4.5 - I thought he was a headless chicken today. Ran around a lot but the game past him by. Always at full stretch.
Souza - 7 - Another one who had a great first half but faded badly in the second. He was expected to do the work of two men as Peck was all over the shop. We needed more legs in the middle second half.
Hamer - 6.5 - Great play for the goal and great cross for Moore. I thought outside of that he was mixed first half, but always dangerous. Faded badly second half.
Brewster -5.5 - Did well first half. Nothing going forward but did a lot of good defensive work. I thought he was astonishingly bad second half. His first touch was dire. He had a good chance but then it just bounced off him. Every single ball seemed to bounce of him.
Moore - 6 - Major fuck up for their winner but he had an excellent first half. Winning everything in the air. Second half he looked tired and as soon as Campbell went off he had no one next to him helping and faded badly.
Campbell - 5.5 - Great finish for the goal and did well first half. Always a nuisance. He looked shot after 40 minutes though.

Subs:

Brooks - 6 - Did ok when he came on. Had a chance he was unlucky with. Snatched at it a bit but it was a good save. Mixed outside of that but the one player who looked forward.
O'Hare - 4 - Poor I thought. Played as a striker and almost laughable watching him trying to compete with Mepham in the air. more involved when he went on the left but was always looking backwards.
BBD -1 - Jesus. One of the most laughable performances I've seen from the bench. Came on. Lost the ball. Got booked because he can't be arsed to run backwards. Lost the ball. Got injured. If he got the nod ahead of JRS then Wilder needs to look long and hard in a mirror.
Davies - 5.5 - Should have been on earlier but I thought he looked a bit lazy when he came on. Got a couple of challenges in but was jogging to get back.
Cannon - 4 - Took Anel out. Did nothing else. Laughable signing for £10 million
Seriki - not on the pitch long enough.

Wilder - 3 - Got a lucky break with their manager deciding to leave Roberts, Izidor and Watson on the bench and play a formation that played into out hands.. Dominated the first half without creating a great deal. We were clearly sitting back second half and it worked for 15 minutes but they were coming more and more into it and his substitutions lost the game for us. Every one made us worse. They changed formation, we didn't when we needed more legs in the centre. All on him.

We all devastated after that ,I genuinely think this will hang over united worse than any relegation or playoff failings in the past, I've criticised the manager this season but he's done very well to get to final .But what's for the best now stick with him or move on .
