Promotion bonuses are usually very high in player contracts, including loaneesMy wife, who neither likes or cares about football, suggested the same. And also that they might not want to go up if they’re going to get thrashed every week like last time. Maybe she knows more about football than I thought![]()
And a promotion wage rise. Every player wants to get promoted. Worst case scenario is they'd be sold but will have more pulling power being in a promoted team.Promotion bonuses = motivation
Go on, which ones were clear chances? The JRS second one and the Campbell one. Neither were that clear but they both should have hit the target. There were two clear chances which should have been scored. Had either gone in we would have gone on to win.
However I agree that we do look lacking when in possession. Is that poor coaching or simply a lack of ability?
Yes he did a four hour presentation on our tactics and formation for Friday and broke it down into bullet points for each individual Cardiff playerMaybe i missed it but did he get asked what were going to do differently?!Or what changes we going to make?
Definition of insanity and all that ..
I was just going to post something similar.Maybe i missed it but did he get asked what were going to do differently?!Or what changes we going to make?

Wilder has spoken about "owning it" a fair bit recently, but he never does it himself ...He will literally never blames himself does he? Thats noticeable
Doesn't have to do that. Everyone who seen us play knows what we're going to do.Yes he did a four hour presentation on our tactics and formation for Friday and broke it down into bullet points for each individual Cardiff player
Exactly those two. JRS needed to do what he is good at and place it wide of the keeper and Campbell should be at least on target from where he was and preferably across the keeper.Go on, which ones were clear chances? The JRS second one and the Campbell one. Neither were that clear but they both should have hit the target.
The only clear chance was the Plymouth one.
Fucking called it!![]()
It wouldn't surprise me if interviewers are discouraged from asking probing questions, given his often prickly nature and the inane repetitive pap spouting from mouths of one or two holding the mic.The 4 questions I'd like the interviewers to ask him are these
1) given Souttar was fundamental to our first half of the season why wasn't a player brought in who he thought was better than a player who was deemed not good enough for the championship 2 years ago?
2) what has Brooks done wrong such that he can't even come off the bench when we have players in the first 11 playing out wide who can't go past a man?
3) when playing against teams in the bottom 6 who employ a low block and we are playing 4 at the back why is our CDM playing between the 2 centre halves ?
4) why are we playing with just one up top when playing clubs in the bottom half...especially when that one is Cannon who can hold a ball up, doesn't run the channels and doesn't win it in the air?
Yep - Radio Sheffield lads won’t upset him …..remember that guy Mike McCarthy - think he upset Wilder - & he’d barely speak to him. Our Chris does not like too many direct questions about his errors.Hard to take much from an interview where all the ones asking the questions are in bed with him.
Very fair questions. The 4 questions I'd like the interviewers to ask him are these

At our speed , how many goals , if any , would we score in the PL ?Agree to a certain extent but we did start at a higher tempo and were at it against Coventry. Against the other three we reverted to tip tap toe.
We struggle against limited teams as they pack the box as we do everything so bloody slowly it gives them time to organise and get their deck chairs out
Shields sounds like a drunken cockney wanker , I can barely stand to listen to his deep voiced drivel.Summary
Mentioned everyone at fault but he’s the only one not mentioned for being at fault
Sticking with system that got us here, no wrecking ball to way we play
JLT is our leader, sounds like he starts, unfortunate for Holding defence has been so good (although he kept repeating defence hasn’t been good enough, square that circle)
Rant at the end about a portion of fans faulting everything wrong with club, clubs rubbish, canteen, players blah, blah. I don’t think I’ve heard anyone criticise SUFC, quite the opposite, him yes, club no
So is “we go again” no major changes to team
And Shields was embarrassing blowing smoke up his bum for last 10mins
In regards to the Cardiff prematch press conference...

Too nuanced to compare v Coventry. They're a totally different side to the three sides we've just faced who are all very similar (low block, limit space, few risks). We've looked pretty good in games where the opposition open up - wished someone would've asked him why we've (recently) continued to struggle against teams that are somewhat limited?
