He’s gone OTT with praising the fans since the Oxford shitshow. Maybe that’s his “media guy”. Maybe he ought to have listened to him first time round.
Agreed ISZA... but maybe the real point is he shouldn't talk about the supporters anything like as much either positively or negatively. However as a supporter it's in his genes and I don't think it's that healthy. Although I don't listen to other manager interviews I'm sure they aren't as concerned about what the fans are saying or thinking.

No video from Blackburn's YT channel yet, but there were a few notes on their website:

Valerien Ismael has confirmed that he’ll have Hayden Carter and Makhtar Gueye available for Saturday’s meeting with Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.

The duo both missed the victory over Watford last time out with injury issues.

Gueye suffered a head injury in training ahead of the meeting with the Hornets, whilst Carter picked up a hamstring strain during the clash against Portsmouth at the end of last month.

The pair returned to training earlier this week and are ready and waiting to feature against the Blades, with Rovers knowing that only a win will do in the Steel City.

“Hayden Carter will be back in the squad, Pape Gueye will be back as well,” Ismael revealed to RoversTV ahead of the journey to Yorkshire.

“They’ll give us more confidence, more flexibility, more choice to manage the game.”

And in a separate article:

The boss has no fresh injury concerns to contend with for the trip to the Steel City, but Scott Wharton, Owen Beck, Andi Weimann and Harry Leonard all remain out of action.

The positive news is that Valerien Ismael will have Hayden Carter and Makhtar Gueye available again after the duo both missed out on featuring against Watford.

Having appeared off the bench last time out, Augustus Kargbo and Emmanuel Dennis are pushing for starting berths, but Ismael is expected to go with the same XI that played against Tom Cleverley's men.

BBC Sport Lancashire have part of the Valerien Ismael presser on their X channel. They also own the world's biggest microphone

They're worse than us for splitting up their content. Three articles on their webpage talking about our game, with manager presser quotes... The latest:

Valerien Ismael says preparations are complete and that his Rovers side are ready to leave everything out on the pitch when they do battle with Sheffield United on Saturday.

Rovers will take their destiny down to the final day for the third successive season, with plenty at stake in the Steel City this weekend.

Victory and results elsewhere will secure a spot in the top six, with Bristol City, Coventry City, Millwall and Middlesbrough also in the mix for a play-off spot by the time the full time whistle is blown on the game and the season.

Ismael says the full focus is on what his team does, though, with the boss keen to ensure his players hold up their end of the bargain before attentions turn to elsewhere in the country.

“It’s been a good week and we have players back in training, momentum and a really good focus,” the French chief said to RoversTV.

“At the same time, we have to have the right balance to enjoy the moment and be focused on the work. We are ready mentally, technically and tactically for the game.

“We need to make sure we show our identity we’ve created over the last few weeks, our mentality and to stay true to ourselves. You have to perform and make the right decisions.

“Something will happen because everyone has something to fight for. For the football fan, it’s a great last matchday.

“It’s the best situation we can get and we’ll have clarity after the final whistle. Until then, we have to do our job on the pitch and the focus will be on our performance to put ourselves in a position to compete for something, which is what you expect when you are in football as a player or manager.

“We’ll enjoy the moment in full. We know that four weeks ago was a different situation and that is the beauty with this league - everything can change very quickly.

“We now have the final game with all the energy, all the focus and we need to empty the tank for that game."
