Get what you're saying but you're far from being on your own with your views.Already starting on here. The abuse you get if you out say anything against St Chris is almost cultish. Nothing wrong with having a different opinion or challenging an existing one but to be abusive? Really?
First time in a long time I’ve found myself questioning whether I offer anything to things on here.
I need to find other things to do I think
For those 3 managers you mentioned, good shouts but even there are issues surrounding them, if that's the right way to describe it.Cooper
Manning
Rosenior
Cooper took Swansea to the play offs playing some good stuff, took Forest from the bottom of the league to promotion, and has a good track record working with younger players as shown winning with England.
He clearly didn't sign many of Forest's players in that first Prem season and his replacement at Leicester has done even worse.
"Cooper took Swansea to the play offs playing some good stuff"
This is just a myth that I've seen quoted a few times over the past few days.
The fact is that Cooper's Swansea side scored a grand total of 56 league goals in the 20-21 season. The lowest total of any side in the top 8.
For comparison we have already scored 57 league goals this season with 4 games still to play.
Isn't that where they beat Barnsley in the semis and lost to Brentford in the final?"Cooper took Swansea to the play offs playing some good stuff"

What difference does that make?
Manning is a bit of a wildcard option out of the others in my opinion. For those 3 managers you mentioned, good shouts but even there are issues surrounding them, if that's the right way to describe it.
Liam Manning: good young manager with a lot of potential and ideas, but isn't this his 1st managerial job at Bristol City anyway, which might have stopped a few teams from taking a chance on him.
We could very well be his next managerial job, who knows, but I would like to see him prove himself a bit more at Bristol City first, starting with playoff qualification (or a narrow miss in 7th/8th), as this is their best chance to get the playoffs this season.
Steve Cooper: Don't get me wrong, I think he's a good manager but i think he can be a bit over hyped at times.
Yes, he got a good Forest side promoted to the PL, had a new team built for him and kept them up at the end of the season, but he could have very easily been sacked that season with Forest in and around the relegation zone all season.
Case in point, he got sacked a few months into last season, with Forest in and around the relegation zone for the second season running, and he hasn't managed anyone since Leicester sacked him last year.
Liam Rosenior: has he even had a job in management since Hull sacked him for missing out on the playoffs (with a lot of talent in that Hull side, Jaden Philogene, Jacob Greaves, Liam Delap, Fabio Carvalho among others).
I don't know about you but for me, it throws up question marks when managers go for several months without a managerial job, same for Cooper and Gary O'Neil.
Expectations mean fuck all. Reality does.
We found ourselves in pole position, clear by 2 points and now, 3 games later we are 5 points adrift, (technically 6 including goal diff) including losing against the bottom side.
The fact that we have exceeded a few fans pre-season expectations doesn't give Wilder a free pass. He's bottled it, end of.
The 4 games still to play?
Not fully confident that we'll score many in those 4 games but we've already out-scored Cooper's Swansea side that Cooper failed to get promoted in 2 successive play-off attempts. Cooper then went on to manage Nottingham Forest where he was sacked and then Leicester where he was also sacked.
Again, what difference does that make? I genuinely can't see what point you are trying to make?
That Cooper is massively over-rated and would be no improvement on CW
That’s a good point, well put. I didn’t in fact read it properly!
I will cling to the fact that the ‘many’ are / were in the minority, but you are correct. My apologies.
What because Swansea only scored 56 goals in a season......you also appear to only want to point out Coopers "failings" to suit your rhetoric!
It's all opinions anyway.
Well at least with Bassett the ball got in the penalty area alot quicker than it does now. After 63 years a Blade I certainly give great credit to Wilder for his achievements and I would say he should stay until the outcome of this season. After that I think not, if we are to stop being a big city football club with a small town mentality. Hopefully the new owners will provide us with the best "financial platform" ever in my time and I would hate to see the opportunity wasted as I think it would be sticking with Wilder. Not sure you can compare Wilders record to younger managers as he has 20 years on them. Bassett has more promotions than Wilder but we obviously don't want him back. It purely depends on whether you think Wilder has had his best moments in football and is now on his way down or whether you still think he is still at the top of his game
You don’t have to apologise to Nick Jansky that much. He isn’t raul ………
Just ask him to stop acting like a spoiled kid would be a start.it’s embarrassing to see. We’re 3rd in the table, way higher than anyone expected this year. We’ve had 3 really cruel games and so many fans have just completely spat the dummy out. Who on earth do you think would do a better job with this squad? How totally delusional do you have to be to think this team should be higher than what it is? It makes us look pathetic.
Indeed it is but from what I saw of Swans the back end of that season, they played some good stuff. What because Swansea only scored 56 goals in a season......you also appear to only want to point out Coopers "failings" to suit your rhetoric!
It's all opinions anyway.
Indicative of modern society mate. Black or white. Vote in vote out. Swipe right swipe left. There's no nuance.Already starting on here. I think a few who wanted him back are experiencing some buyer’s remorse at the moment. Others are beginning to sense the writing on the wall and they don’t want it to be happening. It's like everyone can't take their stance being questioned as it's a personal sleight. Some of Wilders defenders have been proper pearl clutching the last few days....
And the rest?I think a few who wanted him back are experiencing some buyer’s remorse at the moment. Others are beginning to sense the writing on the wall and they don’t want it to be happening.
If Wilder had the same managerial record over the past couple years as any of them there's no way you'd have wanted him back.Who’d do a better job? Here’s three:
Cooper
Manning
Rosenior
I didn’t want him back to start with to be fair.If Wilder had the same managerial record over the past couple years as any of them there's no way you'd have wanted him back.
He's turned the squad & club around entirely this season in the midst of near absent owners.
The last 3 games have been dire and we look like we'll fall short of promotion but this has been a very good season
Like other things in life that i darent mention, when people realise what they've wanted has turned out to be not what they thought it was, rather than admitting that, they stick their fingers in their ears, double down and resort to name calling.I think a few who wanted him back are experiencing some buyer’s remorse at the moment. Others are beginning to sense the writing on the wall and they don’t want it to be happening.
Rosenoir currently 6th in French top league with Strasbourg, he'snot doing a bad job really. For those 3 managers you mentioned, good shouts but even there are issues surrounding them, if that's the right way to describe it.
