Robinson Out!

Self assessment? Why is he a wanker? He's been poor but he doesn't hide like some do. Plenty of other players have been poor this season but they don't get called wankers. Why him in particular? He doesn't pick himself. If he's not good enough he should've been dropped by the management team. It's an ill conceived pile on after chucking away promotion in 3 lacklustre games. I'm genuinely interested. Are any other of our players wankers or just him?
If you can't see why join his group

People will claim people using him as a scapegoat, but reality is the bloke isn't good enough, he cost a goal every couple of games and chamionship isn't his level.

He has a bit of passion and does some old school tackles but that doesn't make up for how technically limited and clueless he is. He's too small for central defence (often loses aerial duels), not good enough with ball at his feet, absolutely shits himself when someone's running at him, no good dealing with ball over his shoulder and is often out of position and loses his man.

And whilst I'm at it his long throws are shit.

Such a scapegoat
He's just shit pal.

We have a player with over 150 apps for Arsenal on the bench.

Robinson was at fault for the corner that led to the equaliser.
In the PL, he would have given a penalty away

And in the first half he gifted them a great chance which luckily they didn't take.

You can't defend decision making like that.

So you can't back it up? Thought not. Just an ill thought out knee jerk reaction. Who else in the team are wankers? Hamer was poor again and performs every 1 in 3 or 4 games. Wanker or not?

He's been good for us generally, but pretty bad recently. No idea why we're not playing holding.

OHare was the root cause of the winning goal, completely gave up competing for the ball on the right touchline and watched the guy run away from him and put in the cross.
He should have come off rather than Peck

He gets sent off in the Premier League.

I know were not going there anytime soon with him as captain, but that's what I said "VAR, he's off and it's a pen" becuase it continued into the box.

why try to defend somebody who just is a league below the standard he's playing.
Thought he was the best player on the pitch... for Plymouth that is. Irrespective of whether his headlock was a yellow or red, a penalty could have easily been given.
His mistake later on caused Clarke to receive a yellow, then another piece of poor play leads to Souza being injured conceding the corner that they equalised from. This from the skipper.
If we do fail to win promotion CW should complain about Oliver Langford missing the headlock and not giving him a red. Holding would have come on, we might have not conceded and Robinson would have been suspended for the Burnley game.

As a captain, is he an inspirational leader?
You see more of him than I do, so what's his qualities,
not just physical, but as an intelligent footballer?
Is he a good defender but not captain level for a
club the demands of the levels Sheffield United aspire to?

He doesn't seem to be able to grasp the basics of defending that is drilled into every defender as a kid..... if in doubt, get it out and never let the ball bounce as last man!

More interested in scrapping than defending. A cross between Titus Bramble and Paul Sykes

You know what, I'm not too bothered about his shitness. We know he's a limited CB at the best of times but it's not his fault we signed or play him.

My issue is that he's our captain and he's a terrible captain.

Not on in the usual captain duties of communicating, encouraging etc but the fact he has to assault an opposition player every game. He's so lucky there's no VAR at this level. Another needless bit of aggression today.

I don't think I'm being unfair, but..

He grabs the lad around the neck, puts him in a headlock as they both fall into the penalty area...

That is our captain... I know you get it..

But for everybody else, just let that sink in..

Brought in as back up but managed to shithouse his way to captaincy and 150 appearances, bordering on negligence that. Should be nowhere near the team. Holding in for the last 4. Much cooler head and much better defender for the play offs

It definitely started outside the box so free kick and red as he's last man, free kick outside the box. Some refs would have given that.
Throughput his career with us he's regularly made mistakes, usually at least one a match and several of those have led to goals
Replay today of what happened at Sunderland, just they scored from the corner instead of diect

The foul is given from where the foul ends, not starts. A foul that starts outside of the box and continues into the box is a penalty.

Just depends how quick the referee blows up. If he gives a penalty it's a yellow due to double jeopardy. It's all irrelevant really as the ref gives nothing. My concern is that Robinson makes a stupid mistake which could have led to penalty or a red card. It was exactly subtle and he was lucky to get away with.

Yeah his decision making his dreadful. Also doesn't get talked about enough how poor he is at marking.

We have had some useless cunts down the years, which you kind of accept, what I can't stomach is despite 20 odd thousand people seeing this with their eyes, the managers persist with them

Collins
Doyle
Monty
Cannon
Robinson
Lunny

If we offer Robinson a new deal that spells disaster for us next season

My understanding is that he’s had enough appearances to trigger another year.
