“Kiefer Moore scored. Excellent player we should have tried to get.”
Hardly a ringing endorsement.

“I didn’t see much difference between the two sides tbf apart from their fluke 1st goal and Gibson falling over for their 2nd. We missed better chances than both – Phillips twice and Koumas. Soutar and Souza were decent for them but thats about it”

He must have done the ITV highlights. Just our 2 goals and then 5 mins of Stoke.

My pharmacist told me that taking reality is not suitable for all, some suffer from contraindications.

Though some will reply that this is a small Sheffield mentality, and that we deserve to be at least as big as Man City.
When you say Pharmacist, do you really mean Dealer?

The main thing I saw from our attack today was where a simple lay off to a player in space would have created a clear opportunity, rather than running into a crowd. I think that awareness will come with experience.
We do over play at times when a quick ball into the box is on, which might go some way to explaining Moores lack of goals.
Excellent point and well put across

It was a VERY skilful touch. Well played Keiffer.
I’m not knocking the goal a goal is a goal… relied on instinct rather than thought when he has to think he normally makes the wrong choice

Title of the thread is a bit…..iffy…..Not that I’m «shocked and stunned » or « amazed and staggered » ( Tony Pritchett, Green Un )

Wilder may be a wanker, but he is our wanker and he is doing a fine job.

I wasn't sure which wanker, sorry Wilder we were going to get when he came back but so far I would say very good. Far exceeding any expectations I had for this season and I feel like we are getting better as a team.

Importantly despite the "stubborn" tag he seems to learn from his mistakes and move on.

Contrary to the general perception of him by fans of other clubs, we haven’t seen any moaning, he has been nothing but respectful of other teams and managers, win lose or draw. Nor has he been finger-pointing at the refs, as bad as they have been. He will never shake that tag of course, but I’m enjoying a bit of dignity for a change.

Boro fans seem to absolutely despise Wilder and it's a bit weird. In his first season they finished 7th under him and got to the FA Cup quarter final. OK, second season it went wrong but it rrally doesn't seem to justify the vitriol they have for him.

On the other hand they idolise Carrick, who basically just has them bobbing around in midtable every season. And they somehow managed to not get promoted with Akpom and Archer upfront. Proper weird. I know which manager I'd rather have.

Think it's Oxford fans that also hate him also for jumping ship to Northampton, Borough fans don't like how he didn't deny he was going to Burnely after his first season there.

Seems like he's got a track record for applying to higher positions.

Wilder is the best manager for SUFC at this time. I didn’t like it when he walked out the first time, but he loves the club and always does his best, which by and large…has been the best time I can remember…including the Bassett years. I just think all the abuse he gets is mindless nonsense.
Well done Chris…Most sensible blades are right behind you.

The second season start at Boro was weird. They were outplaying almost everyone but just couldn't buy a win. It seemed likely that it would've turned around if they stuck with it.

MR Wilders first spell with us was amazing right up to our second season in the Pem when it hit the fan.
That sudden fall from Hero to Zero must have been as Earth shattering for him as it was for us....
Yes I know he tried other Clubs but I don't think his Harts been in it, he's a Blade,
Now he's back for a second try and win or lose I still believe he's our best chance of making it

IIRC Carrick had a similar start the next season, and they stuck with him and it turned around.

And they've had a similar start this season, outplaying most teams but failing to score.

I’m ambivalent about Wilder 2.0
His choice of JLT for Anel was the logical one and JLT did it right.
I was concerned tha Wilder might use Norrington Davies or Gilchrist for Anel, and mess up the defence.

Despite the rebuild only being halfway there, he is juggling the squad quite well, instead of tinkering like he used to.

JLT for Anel was a smart move with minimal disruption.

He’s doing a pretty good job given we’re playing with 1 actual forward (a freebie) and then some freebies and loans in and around him.

He needs to win some games against decent teams for me to be fully convinced though.
