Victoria Station, with the old war memorial on the right
Thanks, I thought so, looking at the buildings it seems obvious but the War Memorial was a bit of a cununderum to me.
It appears the memorial, in memory of all Great Central Railway workers killed in WW1, erected 1922, enclosed into a station extention, 1938, till 1970 when the station closed. The bronze name plaques were resited under the Wicker Arch 1971

Due to neglect and vandlisum the plaques were moved to the Royal Victoria Crowne Plaza were they now reside.

"Mr Reliable", if he'da played for a London club, a hundred caps no trouble.
Even in his Halcyon Days, Alan had to contend with, Ron Springett, a most excellent 'keeper but there weren't a fag paper of ability and nouse between them and the selectors should have been more generous to Hodgy, at no detriment to the team. They were the two top keepers of their day.
Lucky, nay, honoured, to have witnessed his whole SUFC career.
