Like many I’m both surprised and disappointed at the dropping of O’Hare and Peck .

On the other hand , the selection of both Rak Saki and BBD with Campbell as centre forward looks very promising and a combination which could give them all sorts of problems .

I don’t understand why anyone would play Choudhury & Souza as a pair unless there were no options. Today’s lineup looks a bit cowardly.
Agree. I have great respect for Wilder, but sometimes he just seems to be obtuse for the sake of being obtuse. Peck had a next-level night on Wednesday, and he's benched? It must be fitness reason, surely? Wouldn't Tom Davies have given us more?

Let's hope so. However, I'm struggling to see who's going to provide the link between Vini and Hamza and the front four 🤔

Huge opportunity after Burnley's draw earlier.

COME ONE BLADES

2 very defensive mids vs the bottom side, with no proper number 10 in front of them to link to the forwards. This selection all seems to be about the Leeds game...... even though we've got a 9 day gap. This could be a needlessly disjointed performance
Let’s wait and see

100% agree.

Great manger at plan a, motivation and recruitment. Often when he tried to get too cute with his tweaks or tries to prove a point it falls flat.

Big call but I don’t really remember the last time two such defensive midfielders worked for us. And no o’hare is also a big issue.

At least cannons not playing though as it would be more ammo against him when I can’t imagine the service is going to great .

Happy to eat humble pie if we put in a performance but not convinced it’s right tactics if everyone is fit and ready.

With Burnley dropping 2 points, this is a golden opportunity to put 5 points beyond them… so NO negative or passive approaches today, go for the win from the off and get 3 points .. huge opportunity to put a gap out there between us and Burnley….

Don’t completely disagree but of course when he put the team sheet in he didn’t know the Burnley result, just the score at the time…..hindsight etc.
Regardless of Burnley … he should recognise that they played well Weds … and realise they need a settled run of games together to get the consistency … but no let’s ‘get minutes’ in players

No issue with rotating players and freshening things up, it’s just when the changes aren’t like for like I struggle to understand the thinking.

Hopefully we’re all wrong and Wilder has got this one right.

Yeah I appreciate that. I just hope I’m wetting the bed and we put on another commanding performance like last Wednesday 🤞

I hope this post bites me in the nackside....piss poor 1st half, slightly better when Wilder made the subs. Will take a one nil win though. My excitement from Wednesday has gone to being trepidation against Luton ffs
Hope your nackside emerges unscathed..

I do believe he's looking for 3 points no matter what the other results or whom the opposition .
Unlike the infamous game at Leeds - I think that is now firmly binned.

But fortune favours the brave and enterprising.
Fans like me feel that he ought always to put out a "front foot" team , but it's only our opinion - he's the boss.

And his decisions can be judged only after the match.
Is it a Pompey or a Boro ?
