Great that we signed a right back who has rolled out the red carpet for 45 minutes. Jeez. Makes Bogle look like a defensive wizard. Just beaten over and over and over again by a lad who used to be on loan at Wednesday.

Fairly terrible first half. Lucky to not be out of the game already. They should have 3. Our defence is dire on the right hand side. There's no one tracking their left back's runs. BBD is lucky to be on the pitch. Equally because I suspect he should be tracking their left back. Our midfield is shit. They've got so much room. Souza has been awful. Choudhury is playing as a CB in a 3.

Little going forward in the other direction. Canon, BBD and Campbell has been poor.

Needs to be much better.

Nothing to lose here and Pompey are playing well. Getting players forward and defending well.
Looks like they have an extra man half the time.
They’ve been good at cutting out crosses unlike Clarke and Anel who have been beyond dozy.
Don’t think our two holding midfielders are working well together either.
Hopefully we’ll click better second half and get the win. Been lucky we’re still even in it, a premier league team would be five up by now.

The most frustrating thing to me is when we get the ball, we slow the game down, pass it back and sideways, always back to Cooper who takes 30 seconds to decide what to do. Then everyone is walking including Pompey. That tactic is not going to get us promoted. It is so frigging boring and slow and very seldom gets us up the field and into dangerous situations...

If we play a dual CF combo in Cannon and Campbell. for crying out loud GET THEM INTO THE GAME!!!

Agree Vini and Hamza too similar. I'd like to see a fresh Sydie come on to at least try to create some opportunities.

It’s concerning but no need panic or feel too down.

It’s only half-time and we’re still in it.

Easily, one of our worse home 1st half of the season. Clarke has had a nightmare. Looks out of his depth as right back unable to stop any crosses. The front 2 are too isolated, hardly touching the ball and the defence looks rattled.

Surely there’s going to be some changes 2nd half. Wilder will tell them some home truths leading to a massive improvement from us in the 2nd half.

Let’s see.

Utterly dreadful first half.

Side has been assembled, all season, with the "inverted wingers". We then sign BBD, a man who is perfect for that role, and also allows us to move Hamer infield. But the first time we have them both available, we leave Hamer out on the left, and put BBD on the right!? Completely ludicrous.

Seems like we're just playing a 4-2-4, with Hamer/Cannon/Campbell/BBD, and just hoping that those 4 do something. Meanwhile, everyone else is passing the ball around so slowly it seems like a warm up exercise, and Clarke is getting shredded because he's getting no support to cover the Portsmouth overlaps.

Everyone looks completely disinterested, and treating it like it's a pre-season game. Needs someone to show a bit of will to win the match.

I'd take Hamza off for Brooks, and make a midfield 3 of Brooks/Souza/Hamer. Also Cannon off for JRS, and play BBD/Campbell/JRS across the frontline. Nothing against Cannon here, just that Campbell is the better central striker.
