What has he done that makes you think he'll be our first choice striker? (Over Moore, Campbell, Cannon, Brewster, BBD)
Not saying it's likely. But he's the best physical specimen of any of our CFs, is an aerial threat, is the only combination of pace and aerial threat we have, and is at an age where he should be improving rapidly from a physical point of view, so a full on breakthrough could happen sooner than expected. He'd also be part of a better attacking line up than anything he's been in before

On top of that, none of the other CFs are convincing, and at least a couple of them could be prone to injuries

Even if he's got little chance of starting he's a good bench option. Should have come on last night. And if he went on loan he could take a month to settle in. He's settled here and we can work with him closely to develop specific parts of his game. He's on a long contract and there's plenty of time to loan him out next season - which I'd do if we were in the PL

We must keep One. We do t need to sell unless we don't get promoted and then that's possibly a different matter. We've already had to sell Osula, Lankshear and Jebbo and we don't want to lose another promising striker because these are the players that cost silly money in the future.
Promising is doing a lot of heavy lifting with Jennifer

I do get that he's got all these raw attributes but I've never seen them put to effective use for the first team to a level where I think "yeah he's ready". I actually feel for the lad because he's been accelerated to the first team squad prematurely, because a season at LG1 or 2 level is exactly what he needs.

I agree, not quite ready but he's on the edge. Compare his touch and back to goal play to Osula and Jebbison for example. I think he's a more natural, smarter and more rounded CF than both. Presumably Liverpool etc agree

Maybe. But Dortmund and Juventus and all sorts of big clubs were linked with both those lads too.
I'll believe the Liverpool link when it comes to pass.

I think Osula has the highest ceiling. But given their profile, all of them could have decent PL careers.
Jebbison is the least likely as his attitude seems to suck.

Oné needs a season or two in mens football before he'll be ready for what we need.
I don't think you're right re: him coming good this season. Campbell is absolutely miles ahead.

Campbell is looking good but it remains to be seen if he could be a regular starting lone CF. And I'm not sure I trust him to stay fit

I like the thought of Campbell starting from the right and supporting someone else at CF with BBD doing the same from the other side. That would be full of goals, if permitted by the manager. Having Oné as the CF in this set up is the only way of having 3 with pace and power up there

Just think we should keep every attacking weapon available, because we need all the help we can get. We're going to have to consider trying to score goals soon because we'll now be back to our usual championship average of conceding 1 a game

Sell sell sell….you watch the lad and you just don’t get that feeling that he’s going to be the next big thing. He looks almost disinterested at times. For a 19 year old lad he should be tracking back and pressing like his life depended on it and at least look interested. 🤷‍♂️

He's got bags of potential - as does Jebbo and Osula - and DCL had in the past. Doesn't mean he's guaranteed to fulfil it. He needs to be playing week in week out right now. With Canon and BBD coming in and Campbell and Brewster fit his game time well be limited. I reckon get him out on loan and re-evaluate at the end of the season.

Unless we use the cash now for another statement signing such as a pacey skillful winger he should go out on loan now where he’ll play most minutes.

Cannon is pretty fit and robust, then Campbell is on way back to full fitness. Brewster and Moore will also be ahead of One for time on the pitch.

Let the lad go and play but no point in selling him whether it’s 5/10/15/500m unless we’re spending it now. His value should only increase.

Disagree I have been impressed with One. Brewster did well last night, fair play but he has very little attributes compared to One. Like I said though I'd rather keep Brewster as 4th/5th choice than One as we need to develop One. Brewster is finished with us at the end of the season.
Don't think O'Ne is ready but he gets better everytime he plays

Everyone has a price but we have developed three similar players in him, Jebbo and Osula. If one goes then we will have no one coming through in the age group.
Beattie is too young.
Can see us keeping him for at least another season to see how things develop, hopefully our new owners provide us with the option to do more sensible moves in the market than having to sell to pay overheads
Be a good statement of intent to keep him

Wilder basically said that he's one that'll be going out on loan. Pointless discussing it.

He needs game time.
We're currently stacked at the top of the pitch, but will be at least one down in the summer (Brewster will leave, at least and if BBD is a flop, he'll go back).
He has a long contract with us.
It's 6 months for him to go out, secure a place while learning the stuff he's not going to learn on our bench, then come back and we take a look.

A loan is win/win IMO

You can tell our fans have never seen us bring a forward through the academy 🤣

They're the most frustrating of the lot, they'll have little impact initially, the growth will be slow, but the most rewarding in the end with a huge payoff if they have high potential.

But no, like with Osula and Jebbo let's get rid to the first bidder cos he's not scored 40 goals in his first 6 starts.

Thick.

15 million!? What planet are you lot living on 😂

He’s probably on the same planet as Newcastle were with Osula and I’m broadly in agreement.

Clubs aren’t paying for actual achievement, they are paying for potential achievement, where there’s a possibility a player may contribute to the clubs long term success and/or double or triple in the players value. It’s a gamble, but one clubs with £ are willing to opt for. These potential suitors obviously see that in him.

Pay the going rate or fk off and we keep him in the hope he develops to the player we all want him to be

Great sales pitch!

If we were to sell I would want Tyler Morton as part of the deal because I think the lad has potential to be a premiership midfielder and has bags of potential.

Great sales pitch!
This not looking intrested seems to be a thing with SOME younger players Saki walks round with a face like a smacked arse, even the same on the training ground ive been told ,on thousands of pounds a week, and can't crack a smile if he had the personality of brewster maybe he would enjoy his job more ,Brooks is the same WTF is wrong with um

And possibly Blacker?
Don’t think Blacker is heading out unless we get two CM’s in which I hope we do. He’s currently much needed cover for us even if asking him to play in holding two would not be playing to his strengths. He’d probably benefit from a loan but we’re very short at CM right now.
