I’m in denial, that or resignation. Remember what kills.

we know road to promotion doesn't run smooth we are very experienced in all this.

im sure we all remember in 2019. how it was the end of the world when we threw away points late v Villa 3-0 up to 3-3 & when we conceded in 95th min v millwall. then then the meltdown when we got hammered by Middlesbrough 4-1. & yet we still got promoted both seasons

yesterday for large parts of that game. we were great & hull couldnt get out of there own half. yet again like burnley the officials have cost us

Was it all a horrible dream? No it really happened.

On the surface…not too concerned about the 3-0 because it was a freak scoreline, they hardly created anything but somehow scored 3 goals
And it’s only 1 game, we were severely under strength and there’s plenty of the season left.

But deeper down….i have concerns about how our midfield functions, especially defensive midfield
against weak opposition it’s OK but against some teams it has spells where it worryingly disappears.

There’s been a few games this season, most of the Leeds game, Middlesbrough 2nd half, middle section against against Sunderland
last 10 minutes of the Watford and Swansea games and much of last might where you’d swear that the opposition had an extra man or 2.
Every loose ball always goes to an opposition player and we lose control of the game.

Also even when we’re winning and playing well in some games we go ultra defensive towards the end choosing to park the bus instead of managing out the situation by keeping aimless possession for a few minutes taking the wind out of the oppositions sail. It’s worked but it’s dangerous to invite pressure.

I listened to the game on Blades world, Switched off with twenty minutes to go. I could believe how sick I was feeling. I'm think they should change Bramall Lane's name to the "Donkey Sanctuary" and we should all chip in to buy Chris Wilder a razor (so he can have shave NOT cut is throat).

Surprisingly philosophical.
I guess we didn’t embark on this never ending toil (supporting SUFC) to realistically see em win owt did we…did we?

Shit night at the office. Seen it a hundred times before and I may well see it a hundred times more before I slip into the abyss.

Life goes on. Off for a walk in the park followed by a nice lunch and I am making Lasagne for dinner.
Sounds good. What are you having for tea?

Yes, if that was us in a 2-0 lead last night, I’d doubt very much we’d still be going forward trying to get a third like Hull did.

Same as I did when I went to bed, frustrated with our sloppiness, but not going to overreact. It happens

Also surprised at Hull. Thought they set up brilliantly and worked their arses off. Very impressed.

I said that last night, at the game, to Mrs G, and to my mate who sits nearby, their shape was excellent. They put every player in their own box, to defend, and then could break out at pace, to cause us real problems.

As for the starting line up, and who we brought on, none of us know how fit Campbell, Souza and others are, but Brewster was miles better in mid field than Burrows was, not sure why he didn't start there.

We could have played until Monday morning and not scored, just one of those nights.

Derby will beat us, Pompey might just scrape a point

Do you want to bet some money to this site. Think we’ll draw to Derby but we’ll be full strength against Portsmouth and will win with a convincing scoreline.

Every promotion run has ups and downs with shown results. We lost 1-0 at home to relegation team Rotherham the other year but still ended up being promoted.

This year the league is weak but there are 4 string teams, so cans understand why there are concerns over top 2, it’s going to be close.

Their 2nd goal knocked the stuffing out of the players and the crowd. It was a bit of a fluke goal, defensive mix up and their player just managed to get his toe to it.

Their 3rd was a fluke too. Poor defending though Agmedhodzocz legs, then an own goal that went in off the lost. Just one of them nights where nothing goes right.

However Hull deserved it, they looked well coached with a plan and all their players gave 110% fighting for their lives. I’d be really happy seeing that display if I was a Hull fan.

Sloths have got more pace than some of our players!!

I slept ok apart from usual necessity to wake up three times in the night for a pee, but I've been like this for years!

When I did wake up you forget the result until you suddenly remember we lost and that is always disappointing to say the least!

Woke up and remembered what had happened after the final whistle.

Met a few Romanian blokes (about 6 of them) on the Kop with a big purple flag for a Bucharest football team, they asked my cousin to take a few pictures for them as we were leaving, they said they've been going to different games around Europe for last few years and it was their first time at the Lane.
