Didn’t score though (albeit Campbell goal was onside)yesterday for large parts of that game. we were great & hull couldnt get out of there own half. yet again like burnley the officials have cost us
Derby will beat us, Pompey might just scrape a pointNext 2 results v Derby & Portsmouth are the key now. 6 pts and last night will be forgotten.
Sounds good. What are you having for tea?Shit night at the office. Seen it a hundred times before and I may well see it a hundred times more before I slip into the abyss.
Life goes on. Off for a walk in the park followed by a nice lunch and I am making Lasagne for dinner.

Yes, if that was us in a 2-0 lead last night, I’d doubt very much we’d still be going forward trying to get a third like Hull did.Was it all a horrible dream? No it really happened.
On the surface…not too concerned about the 3-0 because it was a freak scoreline, they hardly created anything but somehow scored 3 goals
And it’s only 1 game, we were severely under strength and there’s plenty of the season left.
But deeper down….i have concerns about how our midfield functions, especially defensive midfield
against weak opposition it’s OK but against some teams it has spells where it worryingly disappears.
There’s been a few games this season, most of the Leeds game, Middlesbrough 2nd half, middle section against against Sunderland
last 10 minutes of the Watford and Swansea games and much of last might where you’d swear that the opposition had an extra man or 2.
Every loose ball always goes to an opposition player and we lose control of the game.
Also even when we’re winning and playing well in some games we go ultra defensive towards the end choosing to park the bus instead of managing out the situation by keeping aimless possession for a few minutes taking the wind out of the oppositions sail. It’s worked but it’s dangerous to invite pressure.
Same as I did when I went to bed, frustrated with our sloppiness, but not going to overreact. It happens
Also surprised at Hull. Thought they set up brilliantly and worked their arses off. Very impressed.

Sloths have got more pace than some of our players!!I said that last night, at the game, to Mrs G, and to my mate who sits nearby, their shape was excellent. They put every player in their own box, to defend, and then could break out at pace, to cause us real problems.
As for the starting line up, and who we brought on, none of us know how fit Campbell, Souza and others are, but Brewster was miles better in mid field than Burrows was, not sure why he didn't start there.
We could have played until Monday morning and not scored, just one of those nights.
In EVERY promotion season there are depressing losses.
