So u think, you know those matchworn sites have previously offered 'matchworn shirts ' that players are known to have never worn, given away to charity or thrown into the crowd.

Unless you can guarantee it's 100% the actual matchworn shirt from that game... be VERY careful!
I have Robert Page's matchworn shirt from when he scored against Norwich in a 1-0 win at the Lane. It's also a meworn shirt, as I played a couple of games for the Inter Blades wearing it. 🤣 I have thought about advertising it for sale but for a massive Led Zeppelin fan, a Blades shirt with PAGE on the back, is too much of a gem.

So still not cheap for a player that’s only played league one football.

I just can’t see Wycombe letting him go without a fight, selling their top scorer is going to really fuck up their promotion chances.
Well their /his Manager has jjust jumped clubs,so depending on his relationship with him,it could turn his head to leave too🤔

He can't run🤔
Is he carried onto the pitch?
If you watch Hal's well researched assessment of him on SU Way,he has evidence that contradicts your sweeping statement👍
With all respect towards Hal, I’ll build my view based on people who have seen him play. We’ve literally got a stoke fan on this thread saying he’s worth nowhere near 7M.. let alone 13m.

Sunderland have already spent £36 million next year 🤣, I reckon other clubs will wise up to the strategy of “promising over inflated prices” I also reckon Sunderland will be entirely dry bummed by FFP aswell.

Strategy- Talk shit even we don’t believe, and deal with it later.

Seeing as I gave Booker4 a quid to put on Page 1-0 for me and in his wisdom he stuck it on Jack bloody Lester, perhaps he should offer you the 90 bastard quid he cost me then for it.

Still, it's over 20 years ago, I've moved on. The c**t.

By the same token we have people on here who think McBurnie is our savior. The same McBurnie we paid 20 million for a several years ago... whatever that is with inflation these days...

Not quite a saviour imo. He’d be a very good addition on loan. We paid that amount as he were the top goalscorer and looked a really good player. We seemingly coached the runs etc out of him and opted to continue to play him as a target man.

Unless they're saving the tweet till the morning, or Leicester extended the deadline, Cannon hasn't been recalled.

Now means whoever wants him has to pay for him, and can't see Sunderland forking out the 13mil they offered on LTB

Are we calling Danny Halls bluff then?

Can't say I've seen Cannon much but 7m for a young striker with potential is peanuts.

How many goals does he have again?

5 years ago we paid 43m for Brewster and McBurnie in the same division with a similar ratio and age?

Figuratively yes that’s the decision for Leicester, but the odds on Sunderland getting promoted are worse than 50/50.
We’ve just under even money, odds on at 4/5, whereas they are just over even money at 11/8.

Speaking to Wednesday fans you’d think their odds on promotion were about 5 to 1, the way they believe they have a realistic chance of promotion
But their odds on promotion is 33 to 1. Don’t tell deluded Wednesday fans the bookies think they have no chance, in fact probably as much chance being relegated.
We might all be left with egg on our face when it comes to them lot. I suspect we won’t. You just have to look at the money the top 4 has either spent or spending to see the gap.

It’s very tough for the rest to compete.

What’s £7m look like these days though realistically?

Stansfield cost £15m & he’s the same age with the same goal record as Cannon in the championship

They know Bellingham will be off in the summer and will most likely recoup a considerable chunk of that £36m. It might look a risky, promotion dependent risk but it is probably a very well calculated one in fairness.

It's quite scary united even under new owners probably can't compete with average challenging championship clubs hope am wrong but same old
To be honest, nobody knows that. And if you’re judging that based on us not signing a player within 15 days of the window opening then I’m not sure that’s a fair way of looking at it.

We’ve been linked with 3 premiership players and a right back who’s spent the majority of his career in the top leagues. Those players don’t come cheap & I doubt you’d see Millwall, QPR, Swansea, Preston, Bristol, Watford, Wednesday having the resources to buy/ loan them.

Might be the most random setting for a footy shirt photo I've seen.
Dinosaur wallpaper, a playstation pad, someone sat on a wicker basket, can of booze on the floor next to a wrench and screwdriver.
What's going off? 😂
Ha that's my office at home. Used to me lads bedroom when he was a kid. Now it's just full of random shit

Not booze btw. It's a money box I use to put pens in

Don't imagine the quoted £13m is up front cash, and I guess any player who gets you over the line is worth it. Interestingly, one of the blokes from MRKT insights (the company that Jay Socik founded) just wrote an article mentioning him to Blades being a good fit. Don't know if he knows more than we do.

One or two of the sleeping partners maybe very wealthy ! Keeping there involvement under raps.
Brum made a rod for there own back spending big in the 1st division.

My Nick Montgomery away shirt (which we sponsored) still had the combative midfielder’s sweat marks on it. Definitely authentic.

We were a PL club when we bought McBurnie and Brewster. We might not be a PL club even if we sign Cannon and our parachute payment expires next year

75% of this forum don’t think Cannon is much good. As soon as it looks like he’s going elsewhere bed wetting starts and everyone’s angry he’s not coming. Time for Wider and his team to do their job and as he has threatened move on to his other targets. Transfers has always been his Achilles heel.

Shirley there are viable overseas players that Des knows?

Really?......Baldock, Egan, Stevens, O'Connell, Duffy, Fleck, Norwood, McGoldrick, Cooper, Burrows, Souttar.....

It looks like Sunderland are gambling but that £36m is entirely dependent on them getting promoted. That's also the only way they hold onto Jobe Bellingham so it's worth the gamble as far as they're concerned.

For what it's worth, Enzo Le Fée for £20m is a great deal. If Sunderland don't go up we should be all over that. Although he is French and contracted to an Italian club which might put him beyond our sights.
