Trains to Villa - break up your journey for cheaper tickets

This is thanks to a chap who clocked I was a Blade on the bus the other day.

I was complaining about the cost of the trains (£43 return at the moment). His suggestion that breaking up your journey in Derby is cheaper has turned out to be right.

Get an off-peak return to Derby - £11.10 - and then an off-peak return from Derby to Witton - £16.00.

Thought it would come in handy if you're yet to sort your travel.
