Wednesday can’t afford £7.50 for a tin of paint for the stand.. ain’t no way they’re spending 7 million on a player.
 
It will be interesting to see if Tom get’s recalled today, if he does something must be close with a club..
 
I reckon the pegs and round holes are being tidied up here. Sunderland have off loaded a striker, stoke have recalled a player, meanwhile Mr Nistelrooy has been offering up clues as to why moving him somewhere else would be a better option. Let’s hope Souttar can have a word with him.

There's the Choudhury connection also, assuming he comes too.
 
I wonder if that's a if we go up 7 million because I can't see us spending that on him in the championship

Has Kone ever played at a higher level than league 1, admittedly I don't know that much about Kone, only that he has been prolific for Wycombe this season.

Cannon has had a few seasons in the championship.

Wonder if this might be possible as Bloomfield is meant to be leaving Wycombe for Luton though, which you would imagine could make a deal with Kone more likely.

Played at league one for a season, scored 13 goals in the league, 16 in all competitions.

Physically stronger, taller, young and would be much cheaper.

He signed a new contract in November (can’t find anything which says how long the contract is). So are you sure he would be cheaper?

His contract expires June 2026.. valued at 300k on Transfermarkt (I know I know).. a couple of million probably gets him.

Not a chance, they'll be wanting at least as much as Cannon, which he may be worth but you're buying potential. Easier to do a deal in the summer for Kone if you think he's your option.

I can’t see them wanting 7M for him. Not a prayer would they want that amount. The player himself would push for the move too.. which as we all know, drives the price down.
 
Some people on here think they are playing football manager.

For what it's worth I reckon if we sign Cannon he'll be good for us. It's like I've said about Campbell, some players just fit at certain clubs and need to feel wanted. He obviously wanted to come here in the summer and ended up at Stoke. Maybe he just doesn't like it there. Wilder is the best at putting an arm round certain players and bringing the best out of them. If this move happens I reckon he'll do well.
