Ahead of Osula in terms of general development.
There is a precedent of transfer fee.
Would we take £10M? I think that is another 'no brainer'.
Would be interesting what value Liverpool have of him.

And that's before we reach CAT1.

We've produced some talent over the years with Sheffielders - Walker, Naughton, Maguire etc.

But we've also cherry picked talent from other clubs and brought them through - Brooks, Ramsdale, Peck, Adams etc.

Our academy is clearly fantastic without the CAT1, we will attract much more and much better players with the new academy status

I don't think Liverpool want him for their first team immediately... Sure their plan would be to develop him at their place, loan him out and then assess from there.

We're being forced to use him when he clearly isn't quite ready.
Minutes at a level he'd be more comfortable at would be great for him.

Would be surprised if there isn’t a sell on clause we’d have to share with whatever we got for him.

But at some point we really must start hanging onto these players a touch longer to realise the big fees they go on to get once they establish themselves.

Osula went when he could have been with us this season playing lots of games…good season he goes for £20m plus.
So if this is true we should be waving them away, giving the lad a pay rise and get him to be a regular starter. Then look at what a sale might bring us to enable further development of the club.

He’s good enough for this level already, needs to be getting minutes when he can rather than drop to a lower level

Don’t believe (though it’s more believable than Osula to Newcastle tbf) but I’d take £7+m + a loan or two from their fringe players as he’s fairly talented but I can’t see him being a championship forward until he has at least 2 years of week in week out experience in the lower leagues.

Agree. It's where we're at as a club and it's not a bad place to be.

If an offer came in for Oné in January and it allowed us to manoeuvre in the transfer market we'd be mad not to do it.

Selling Osula probably allowed us to keep Hamer / Souza this Summer.
