It doesn't matter if Southampton get less points than us, score less goals, and concede more goals

They still won't be as bad as that scruffy fucking Northern club from the season before

Football fans are generally thick as pigshit so they will believe whatever spin the southern dominated media will put on it
Agree. "But russell martin set his team up to play some lovely football..." will be the line they use...or words to that effect

I mean I like that it takes the media’s minds off our performances last season but surely we don’t want this every year. A different promoted whipping boy for the league to laugh at all season. Maybe some post traumatic stress from last year but I feel for Southampton
Who is to say that if we go up we will come straight back down? We were fucked before a ball was even kicked last year. We will get a few hammerings but I think we will be harder to beat and put up more of a fight.

How on earth Russell Martin (who is using his style of play at Southampton to aim for a better job) can still have a job when Gary O'Neill was sacked is laughable.

Probably the same reason why Burnley didn't sack Kompany last season, especially as we had already replaced Hecky with Wilder by this point last season.

I remember Swindon Town getting relegated with us from the prem and conceding 100 goals, (in more games than we played) and the press used to regularly wank off that they had made good friends cos of the way they played. Course they made friends every fucker loved playing them as it was 3 points.

Villa was worst for me
Villa were toying with us and could easily have scored any time they wanted to. Emari was in the technical area telling them to ease off. It was the worst 45 minutes of football I've ever witnessed and I have zero regrets about walking out of Bramall Lane at half time. The chips my family go before heading home was the highlight of our evening.

Yeah we had a right session in Panenka that night. 😂

Is BBD injured? He didn't even make the bench if not.

He hasn’t now !!

i havent heard anything near same level. but i think it was PeterNdlovu081 made a good point that if we lived in Southampton maybe we would hear more from the local media
I live and work in Southampton and know a few season ticket holders. They all accept relegation is happening and have hit the "I've stopped caring but feel obliged to go to the games" stage.

It'll be interesting to see what the response to the sacking is as it seemed 50/50 between those that want him to go and those that want him to stay. They all agree (along with anyone who's watched more than 10 seconds of any Saints games) that playing out from the back is what has put them in the shit, and Martin's stubbornness has cost them dearly.

Please take Carrick, Farke or Parker to destabilise those around us

...or Sausage Rohl just for the meltdown
Why would any of these managers (except Rohl, of course) swap a possible promotion for a more than likely relegation though?

Honestly, I could see Wolves and Southampton just swapping managers. Would be pretty funny.

It's funny, I don't remember the Villa game at all, I even had to look up the score. I can remember the Newcastle and Arsenal games well enough but the Villa game is a complete blank. I was definitely there!
