Kyle Walker

He'd still be the quickest bloke in our side. Timo Werner is absolutely rapid. Fair enough last year Walker matches him, but he's still got enough to play at a decent level he just needs to start adapting his game. Look at Ashley Young

It never ceases to amaze me how "fans" love to look for the slightest chink so they feel justified to rip players apart. It's like they hate to see players doing well & can't wait to pick them apart.

Kyle Walker is far from finished, it is clear to see he isn't as fit as he could beat the moment due to a series of injuries & missing games because of them. Everyone slows as they age, it is inevitable, but I don't think that time is now for Kyle, unless these injuries prevent him from regaining full fitness.

If you watch the "race" with Werner he started sprinting slightly after him & by the time W crossed he had not lost ground, just didn't gain like he normally would, so you cannot say he has lost a yard of pace just yet, & would back him to be as fast as usual by the seasons end, injury & fitness permitting.
I’d be more concerned about his attitude than his pace. Why did he start sprinting “slightly after” Werner? He was low-energy when the loose ball first came across to his side of the pitch and then despite it being obvious what was going to happen he watched Werner develop top speed before he started to run. He was never going to catch him after that and his body language throughout the whole thing was of somebody who had downed tools and was simply going through the motions. I get that they were three down at home in added time and the stadium had emptied but I’d be absolutely furious if I saw that from a United player at Bramall Lane.

I don’t know if that amounts to “ripping him apart” but that’s how I saw it.

Is monty employed by spurs now ?
I saw that and though nahh, but it's true.

He has had to turn down the staring rohl as Nick, the pastry chef in the new Netflix series, Cumberland, Lincolnshire or Pork. A history of the sausage roll in Sheffield and South Barnsley from 1889 to 2024.

He's been assistant coach since just before this season started.
Monty won the Australian A-league as manager of Central Coast Mariners last year on a fraction of the budget of the bigger Melbourne & Sydney clubs.
Obviously didn't go unnoticed by Ange Postecoglou as he won it a few times himself.

Nice link

Well I didn't quote your post, or anyone else's, so my post wasn't directed at you, more so the people who jump on a bandwagon to say things like he is finished, he is crap, he is too slow etc. He will still be significantly faster than anyone we currently have, although as I see it he will be more useful for his considerable experience at the top table.

He isn't having a great time at the moment & I would guess he thought he could still catch him, but when he put the hammer down there was nothing there, rather than downing tools, either way it will be interesting to see what happens from hereon in.

He’ll have to adapt his game to continue at Prem level. But I really doubt that’s enough for Pep. The way City play, Walker’s pace has been absolutely essential in dealing with counterattacks.

I honestly think that moment will signal the end of his time there.

Walker isnt stupid when he made that statement about finishing his playing career at Bramall Lane he would have known full well one barrier would be a drop in wages. So it will be in his mind. However if he helps cement the Blades into the PL he will be near Legendary status and who knows what else might come with it.

I think he will come back if we go up . He doesn’t need the Saudi money and loves the blades.
If we go up Seriki is the man

Walkers time is coming to an end so why would we want him if we were a Premier League club

Some of our other fans on here as well, "We'll have anyone as long as they're too wank for anybody else"

The main problem with Walker is his own personal problems,if he comes here then he may be able to see his estranged family more but if he goes to Saudi he can get away from the fairground that surrounds his personal life. Personally I’d love him to come back but I’d be very surprised.

Change of subject! Any poster know if Nick Montgomery is on the payroll at spurs thought I saw him preparing a sub for spurs yesterday, looked very much like him.
Spurs manager is an Aussie maybe the link is there from Monty's time down under.?

Next summer or never for me really. I'd like to think his comeback would be more important than Jagielka's but the clock is ticking.

If City get relegated, he might see us as an upgrade 🤣

Walker would be about as much use as Jags was , in fact less coz he couldn't go in the net.
And Jags was on silly money but Walker would want even more ridiculous wages.
Just a pipe dream
Forget it

If he goes to Saudi he will have a half-human and half-camel love child within a year. Probably.

This site could benefit from an autocorrection function for the more difficult spellings such as of, off, have,as,has and other such grammatical challenges like been, being🤔Makes me tense anyway😜
