Covid Lockdown Chris Wilder ..

It's just a reality check of where we are.

Maybe we could have done better in the last two games with different players and formation but maybe not.

It's hardly a surprise we're struggling for goals. A fair few of us have pointed this out from early doors.

I'm not sure Wilder necessarily deserves that much criticism though just because some fans have been hit with a dose of reality this week.

Despite a good start we're clearly lacking in key areas.

At the start of the season I thoughtba play off spot would be a great finish and I haven't changed my mind.

We’re light up top as basically we got rid of all our strikers this summer - we lack a yard of pace up there as well. We’re also short in terms of squad depth and the young players will inevitably be inconsistent.

2 defeats in 11 games is not bad for a new team. But i cant stand the building other teams up to a point of we aren't a that level yet blows my mind .Grow a pair wilder and lets at least have a go at teams not sit back and wait for the inevitable. Id rather lose 3-0 having a go than sat on my arse for 90 mins

Wilder will attract criticism because despite the positive start the baggage of how it ended last time is still there & won’t go away. Forgiven by most, but not forgotten. Doubts remain. All is largely forgiven as long as we are doing well but as soon as we aren’t those doubts will, understandably, quickly resurface. The credit he still rightly has for 2016-19 is balanced against what happened next.

This is why I didn’t want him back, he’s a divisive character with baggage. As with any manager I’ll get behind him as long as he’s here. But the best way forward for this club is a total reset under new ownership in a future that doesn’t include Wilder. The new ownership (and the right ownership) is critical to that so I won’t be calling for his head, but I will look forward to the eventual day after the Prince & Wilder.

Thought it was on the players. Too many misplaced passes and the lack of business in the summer 🤷‍♂️

But of course people have preset agendas and had to keep quiet when we were winning. The lack of goals were obviously a issue when winning games and still are now. Moore has never been the 20+ goalscorer in a side and none of the others are massive scorers either

The last two games has shown that CW is tactically inept. He had been outdone by Carrick and Farke in the way he’s set his teams up and his ability to influence a game.

I don't think he was tactically outdone by Farke. Leeds have easily the best squad in the division, especially in attack.
They hammered us because they're miles better.

They made a double change of Gnonto and Aaronson OFF and replaced them with Dan James & Solomon. Any of those 4 players walk into our team.

Welcome back…

Timid spineless boring shite for two games running ..

The feel good factor well and truly gone down the shitter…
100% agree it is these shite tactics that got him sacked the first time he never learns.

In both the Leeds game and last night we started the better team. Both Leeds and Boro then changed it and we just didn’t react. Good managers change things in the first half and adapt to the game. It isn’t about subs but changing style/formation to counter what the opposition are doing. Ours does nothing but wait until the 65th minute to make a sub, and mostly just like for like changes. It was obviously 5 at the back wasn’t working against Leeds after the first half. We had players on the pitch to change formation but kept playing the same way until the 2nd goes in and game over!

Yet only 7 days earlier we were brilliant and looked like champions.

We should still be promoted so wouldn't worry yet unless you really are crazy?

Do you actually watch our matches?

Didn't know how we played last week against Luton, best performance I've seen from us since the 5-2 Burnley win.....was impressed.

Also agree towards the end of the 1st half the tide was starting to turn...so the warning signs were there.
Wilder changed it at half time.....swapping over O'Hare and Brewster......so Brewster was central instead of out on the left wing.

It didn't work...so he made 3 early subs all on 60 minutes.
The problem was.....after the subs we actually become worse.

We knew Leeds and Boro away would be our hardest matches of the season.....the pressure is now on us to bounce back on Saturday against Stoke.
