People have been complaining all Summer that United don't talk and hardly every communicate.
Sounds like you've been listening to the rumour mill and believing it all.

Regards sales I've keep repeating our situation.
We do not need to sell anyone....however (like at Man Utd and Liverpool) every single player could potentially be sold.
However if we value Hamer at 20 million, then why would we sell him for 20 million?
Exactly......we'd only sell at 25 to 30 million and even then we'd only do this if we have replacements and better players lined up.
So the Hamer sale is theoretically possible but very unlikely.

We've had a really good transfer window to date.
Just lacking a striker, which obviously is really important, hopefully we'll bring in Cannon.
I still think we need a striker, a left winger and a central defender with pace

This transfer window starting to feel like an encapsulation of how we’ve started the season

First half(s) decent I.e - we’ve addressed some needs

Second half(s) - nothing happening, and not particularly proactive leading to disappointment

Doesn’t feel like we’re being active in the 3 players wilder reportedly wants including loans. Were much more likely to lose something valuable than add sadly - and the odds of us being able to add three in a day seems low when it usually takes us a week or two to wrap anything up

I’d be fine with no movement today but the squad isn’t really complete with no forward depth or left winger or right back depth.

But I do think if one or two pieces like and anel / hamer go without signing significant reinforcements off the back of it - that probably costs us any chance of promotion.
We're not going up mate..

Shut the thread down.

No more incomings straight from the horses mouth.

Have a good afternoon all.

Oh well. Not perfect but definitely a good window overall... barring any last minute shock exits of star players.

On the bright side, if we do manage to offload Traore, Slimane and Trusty for the same fees we originally paid then it might be the single greatest achievement in football transfer history.

Recovering our £10m spent, and possibly more, on that shower is nothing short of incredible.

Long live King Snek #BettisIn 🐍

Good window overall? It is a poor window we still haven't addressed issues in key positions.

We're definitely short in a few positions and lack depth generally, don't get me wrong.

But a couple of months ago a double relegation seemed a genuine worry - many people thought we didn't have a pot to piss in and it'd be a firesale.

Since then we've shifted a number of ageing crocks on huge wages, added a fair bit of quality and some decent enough squad fillers. But most of all, we seem to have retained our best players (touch wood) while getting our money back on some of last summer's horror-buys, and somehow getting £15m for a Striker who never scored a league goal for us. All while going through a never ending takeover.

We are definitely in a better position than we were immediately after relegation. Not perfect, but undeniably a pretty solid transfer window for Sheffield United Football Club.

I would not rule us out yet a few bad results and a few Injuries and the wheels could well and truly fall off.

Only United could kill all the fans optimism.

I don't disagree that if we have our usual injury crisis we'll be in trouble.

The lack of options up top is a worry for me. If we intend to play Moore with Rak-Sakyi and Brooks on the wings then that's quite strong... but rotation options are pretty much non-existent if Campbell doesn't come good.

Only United could kill all the fans optimism.
Think that's a bit harsh though, there's been nothing but pessimism for over 12 months.

Any optimism we have at the minute is due to the same transfer window that everyone's now berating!

So Wilder has signed 10 British players this window & got rid of most of the foreign rubbish that Hecky brought in... Slimane & Trusty the latest.
Maybe there just aren't any good foreign players anymore 🤔
Quelle surprise, Wilders right everyone else is wrong

Maybe. Or maybe you talk out of your arse.

Maybe I should have said I was being sarcastic...

Do we even have a scout looking at overseas players?
In which case, apologies.

I can’t imagine for a minute that we look overseas, but hopefully under the new ownership and next manager we will start to move forward in that respect.
