In my opinion, i thought we were poor as a team defensively today.

There was very little protection from midfield for the back 4.

Souza started off well, but as soon as he got booked he bacame less effective.
Id also like to know what Wilder was trying to tell him on the couple of occasions he called him across, as his response to what he was being told, didnt look great (arms waving).

Arblaster is class, but i think he needs better next to him, probably a better CDM (dont know who though).

Still early days and it will take time to gel.

Should be playing a back 5 with these defenders but then again we have bust a gut to get a winger on loan from Palace so I don’t see how we square that circle.

Anel looks decent on the ball especially but for the Chanpionship, I wouldn’t be heartbroken if the partnership at the end of the window was Worrall and Souttar.

Anel would have to be sold and Wilder would have to drop his left foot right foot obsession.

Best summation so far. When the midfield disappears like ours did, it’s obvious the defence is gonna take a battering.
